Mann is a 13 year old nonprofit that works with 18+ adults with Intellectual or Developmental Disabilities (IDD). We train adults with IDD for meaningful work, partnering with businesses to help them secure jobs, become valued employees, and contribute to their families and society. We foster their physical and emotional well-being and provide opportunities to experience life as any young adult. Mann's vision is a world where young adults with intellectual disabilities live a full life with independence and dignity. Towards that vision, our mission is to create livelihood opportunities for persons with IDD and nurture their physical and emotional well-being. Over the last 11 years, Mann has developed and honed a structured, proven curriculum design for its training and employment programs that we call Livability and Workability training. The curriculum is individualized to each student’s need.

**Function/Department**
At Mann, we partner with a diverse range of organizations (cutting across sectors and industries) to offer mainstream employment opportunities to our students. The unique skills and abilities of our students make them well-suited for roles involving repetitive tasks. Furthermore, multiple studies show that employing people with disabilities results in reliable, motivated employees who contribute tangible business advantages and foster inclusive workplace cultures, attracting desirable talent. The Mainstream Employment training function offers timely, supportive training to our students using a variety of training methodologies and techniques thereby making them job-ready for mainstream hiring.
The Trainer (Mainstream Employment) will report into the Coordinator who in turn reports into Manager level.
**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Planning and execution of structured on-the-job employment training
- Utilizing creative training tools and methodologies to enhance the overall training, and making it engaging and interactive
- Running sensitization initiatives for co-workers and employers
- Conducting effective and structured parent meetings at regular intervals and offering the right support and progress updates
**Education and Experience**:
- Bachelor’s degree in special education
- Minimum 2 years work experience with people with disabilities
**Knowledge, Skills and Competencies**:
- Good planning and organizing skills
- Good communication skills and documentation skills
- Effective team player with excellent interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of innovative training methods
- Results-orientation with attention to detail
- Patient, respectful, caring and empathetic with good problem solving skills
- Effective stress management, and time management skills
**Location and Travel**:
This is a full-time role based in Kerala.
**Compensation and Benefits**:
On par with industry standards, and commensurate with the role.
