**Job Title: VMC Programmer cum Setter**

**Overview**:
As a VMC (Vertical Machining Center) Programmer cum Setter, you will be responsible for programming, setting up, and operating Vertical Machining Centers to produce precision parts according to engineering specifications. This role requires a strong understanding of CNC programming, machine operation, and the ability to interpret technical drawings.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **CNC Programming**: Develop and optimize CNC programs using CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, GibbsCAM) based on engineering drawings and specifications.
- **Machine Setup**: Set up VMC machines by installing fixtures, tooling, and workpieces according to setup instructions and part requirements.
- **Tool Selection and Calibration**: Select appropriate cutting tools, perform tool length offsets, and tool wear compensation to ensure accuracy and efficiency during machining operations.
- **Machine Operation**: Operate VMC machines to produce parts with tight tolerances, monitoring machine performance and making adjustments as necessary to maintain quality and productivity.
- **Quality Control**: Perform in-process and final inspections of machined parts using precision measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers) to ensure compliance with specifications.
- **Troubleshooting**: Identify and troubleshoot issues related to machine performance, tooling, or programming to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency.
- **Maintenance**: Perform routine maintenance tasks on VMC machines, such as cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn components, to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
- **Documentation**: Maintain accurate records of machine settings, tooling configurations, and production metrics to track performance and facilitate continuous improvement.
- **Safety and Compliance**: Adhere to safety protocols and operating procedures to maintain a safe work environment and ensure compliance with regulations and company policies.

**Qualifications**:

- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or vocational training in CNC machining preferred.
- X years of experience in CNC programming and setting, with a focus on Vertical Machining Centers.
- Proficiency in CAM software for CNC programming and G-code generation.
- Strong knowledge of machining principles, tooling selection, and machining parameters.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) symbols.
- Experience with precision measuring instruments and quality control processes.
- Problem-solving skills and attention to detail to troubleshoot issues and maintain quality standards.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Strong communication skills and a commitment to safety and quality excellence.

**Salary**: ₹149,795.01 - ₹400,000.00 per year
