**Job Description - Field Researcher for Stray Dog Survey Project**

**Location** - Panvel

**Project Duration** - 3-4 Months

**Employment Type** - Part-Time

**Reports To** - Project Coordinator

**Job Summary** **-**We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Field Researcher to join our team for a comprehensive stray dog survey project. The researcher will be responsible for conducting field-based surveys, gathering data on stray dog populations and reporting findings to support our efforts in animal welfare and population management.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Conducting of systematic field observations and surveys in assigned areas.
- Recording of information of stray dog numbers
- Using of Mobile Application
- Interacting respectfully with local residents, community members, and stakeholders.
- Submitting of regular progress reports to the research lead.
- Working closely with other fellow researchers and project leads
- Attending of team meetings and field training as required
- Following of humane & ethical practices while conducting surveys
- Ensuring that the presence of researchers does not harm or distress animals

**Required Qualifications**
- Undergraduates or Bachelor’s or Post Graduate degree in Biology, Zoology, Animal Science or Environmental Studies
- Prior experience in field research or animal surveys

**Skills & Competencies**
- Strong observational and data recording skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in using Mobile Application
- Physical fitness and willingness to work outdoors in varying conditions.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Comfort in interacting with animals and communities.

**Additional Requirements**
- Possessing a valid two-wheeler license and a two-wheeler
