**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Transcribe audio and video files** into written English text with high accuracy.
- Maintain correct **grammar**, **punctuation**, **spelling**, and **sentence structure** throughout the transcription.
- Format the transcriptions according to the client's specifications (e.g., verbatim, clean read, timestamped).
- Work with various types of media, including **interviews**, **meetings**, **lectures**, **webinars**, **podcasts**, and other recordings.
- Proofread and **edit** transcriptions to ensure they are error-free and meet quality standards.
- Deliver completed transcriptions within agreed deadlines, ensuring prompt turnaround time.
- Communicate effectively with the project manager or client for clarification on any issues or requirements.

**Requirements**:

- **Fluency in English**, with excellent writing and reading comprehension skills.
- Strong understanding of English **grammar**, **punctuation**, and **sentence structure**.
- Proven experience in **audio-to-text transcription** (including podcasts, interviews, etc.).
- Excellent **listening** and **typing** skills (typing speed of [X] words per minute or higher).
- Ability to transcribe difficult audio files, including **multiple speakers**, **background noise**, or **heavy accents**.
- Proficiency with transcription software or tools (e.g., **Express Scribe**, **oTranscribe**, **Transcribe**, or other similar tools).
- Attention to detail and the ability to produce high-quality, accurate work under tight deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple transcription tasks simultaneously.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Experience with **specialized transcription**, such as legal, medical, or technical transcription, is a plus.
- Familiarity with **various accents** in English (e.g., British, American, Australian) and ability to transcribe accordingly.
- Familiarity with **timestamping** and how to format transcriptions based on specific client needs.
- Experience transcribing **multi-speaker** content or group discussions is a plus.
- Strong proofreading and editing skills to ensure the final transcription is polished and professional.
