Ayurveda Therapist

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Ayurveda Therapist to join our wellness center. As an Ayurveda Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing holistic healthcare services rooted in the ancient Indian practice of Ayurveda. You will work closely with clients to assess their physical and emotional well-being, provide personalized treatment plans, and deliver therapeutic Ayurvedic treatments.

**Responsibilities**:
Client Assessment: Conduct thorough assessments of clients' health conditions, medical histories, and lifestyle choices to determine their unique constitutional type (dosha) and identify any imbalances.

Treatment Planning: Develop personalized treatment plans based on the clients' needs and Ayurvedic principles. This includes recommending dietary modifications, lifestyle changes, herbal supplements, and therapeutic treatments.

Ayurvedic Therapies: Perform a range of Ayurvedic therapies, such as Abhyanga (oil massage), Shirodhara (oil pouring on the forehead), Panchakarma (detoxification treatments), Nasya (nasal therapy), and Swedana (herbal steam therapy).

Herbology: Recommend and prepare Ayurvedic herbal remedies, including herbal formulations, oils, and poultices, tailored to clients' specific health conditions.

Wellness Counseling: Provide guidance on maintaining a balanced lifestyle, including stress management, nutrition, exercise, and self-care practices based on Ayurvedic principles.

Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed records of clients' assessments, treatment plans, progress, and any adverse reactions to ensure continuity of care.

Client Education: Educate clients about Ayurvedic principles, lifestyle modifications, and self-care practices to empower them in taking responsibility for their well-being.

Health Promotion: Assist in promoting Ayurvedic services through workshops, seminars, and educational materials to raise awareness of the benefits of Ayurveda.

Collaboration: Work closely with other healthcare professionals, such as Ayurvedic doctors, nutritionists, and yoga instructors, to provide integrated and comprehensive care to clients.

**Requirements**:
Certification: Possess a recognized certification or diploma in Ayurveda Therapy from a reputable institution.

Knowledge: Deep understanding of Ayurvedic principles, doshas, and traditional healing techniques. Familiarity with Panchakarma treatments and herbal medicine is essential.

Experience: Prior experience in providing Ayurvedic therapies and treatments is highly desirable. Experience in conducting client assessments and developing personalized treatment plans is preferred.

Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients, educate them about Ayurveda, and inspire them to adopt positive lifestyle changes.

Empathy: Demonstrated compassion, empathy, and a genuine desire to help clients achieve optimal health and well-being through Ayurvedic practices.

Adaptability: Ability to adapt treatments to meet individual client needs and modify treatment plans as necessary.

Ethics: Maintain the highest level of professionalism, confidentiality, and ethical standards in all client interactions.

Continuous Learning: Stay up-to-date with the latest research, developments, and trends in Ayurveda to enhance professional knowledge and skills.
