**Job Description: Production Officer (Fire Extinguisher Manufacturing Industry)**

**Position Overview**: The Production Officer in the Fire Extinguisher Manufacturing Industry is responsible for overseeing the entire production process to ensure the manufacturing of high-quality fire extinguishers. The role requires efficient management of resources, equipment, and staff, while maintaining strict adherence to safety and quality standards.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Production Planning & Coordination**:

- Develop and execute daily, weekly, and monthly production plans based on demand and production capacity.
- Coordinate with other departments (procurement, quality control, maintenance) to ensure smooth workflow.
- Monitor production schedules and adjust resources and manpower as needed.
- **Manufacturing Process Supervision**:

- Supervise the manufacturing process of fire extinguishers, ensuring adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Monitor the assembly of fire extinguishers, from cylinder filling to valve installation and pressure testing.
- Ensure that production equipment is functioning properly and oversee routine maintenance.
- **Quality Control**:

- Ensure all products meet industry standards and regulatory requirements (such as ISI or UL standards).
- Perform or coordinate inspections of products during and after production.
- Work with the quality assurance team to implement corrective actions for any defects or non-conformities.
- **Safety Compliance**:

- Maintain a safe and compliant working environment by ensuring adherence to safety protocols and OSHA guidelines.
- Conduct regular safety audits, risk assessments, and emergency response drills.
- Train staff on safety measures and safe handling of materials and equipment.
- **Inventory Management**:

- Monitor raw material inventory levels and coordinate with the procurement team for timely replenishment.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of raw materials and finished products.
- Control waste and optimize material usage to reduce production costs.
- **Team Supervision and Development**:

- Supervise a team of production workers, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
- Address any staffing issues, conflicts, or challenges within the production team.
- Foster a culture of teamwork, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
- **Reporting & Documentation**:

- Maintain accurate records of production output, material usage, and machine performance.
- Prepare and submit production reports to senior management, highlighting key performance metrics and issues.
- Assist in the documentation of product specifications, safety guidelines, and quality audits.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
- 2-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the fire extinguisher or similar industry.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment, and safety standards.
- Familiarity with quality management systems (ISO, ISI standards).
- Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and team management skills.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
