**I. Plan, Develop and Implement**:
- Design, deliver and evaluate lessons which stimulate and motivate student learning
- Plan, prepare and align the same with Cambridge/ICSE curricula.
- To liaise with Drama and Music Teachers to ensure that preparation for Performances and events has been done as required by the teacher. This would include setting up the correct number of apparatus in classroom and recording studio, checking that all the apparatus is clean, well maintained and safe.
- To assist with recordings for Final examinations of IB and ICSE.- Break the lesson plan as per the set curriculum
- Analyse the results of the previous year and plan the teaching objectives accordingly
- Plan and implement effective assessment for/of learning which enhances outcomes for students
- Implement inquiry-based teaching and learning to convey knowledge, conceptual understandings and required skills to the students and respond to student inquiries and provide meaningful advice
**II. Teaching approach**:
- Create a warm fostering environment in the classroom that facilitates learning
- To ensure that the children experience a broad, balanced, relevant and stimulating learning experience
- Plan and prepare learning activities and guide students towards the achievement of curriculum objectives
- Use a range of instructional techniques and media consistent with available resources and student needs and capabilities
- Expand the students' use of individual and collaborative strategies to generate concepts and ideas
- Incorporate new technologies and tools in the creative process
- Enhance the students' knowledge of visual arts and media through art theory and history
- Develop an aesthetic understanding and appreciation that allows students to make qualitative judgments about art
- Enable students to create a functional portfolio of their art works
- Plan, coordinate and prepare art displays and exhibitions for the school and community
- Nurture meaningful relationships with students and provide the individual attention they need- Work creatively with available materials/ resources
- Liaise with the Head of department and curriculum coordinators to ensure effective delivery of the curriculum to specified classes, including selecting resources and managing them efficiently in the classroom
- Collaborate with other secondary teachers and curriculum coordinators to deliver an interdisciplinary curriculum and share new ideas, approaches and professional knowledge
- Select and requisition books, instructional materials, tools, instructional aids, and maintain required inventory records
- The activities / project work and experiences need to be adapted keeping in view the individual differences among children and their innate potentials, as well as the students with special needs
- Remedial classes should be taken to strengthen the students learning wherever required
- Maintain high ethical standards and display integrity at all times
- A variety of teaching strategies supporting the development of ATL skills are to be included for facilitating a holistic view of the area of Dance (ATL skills include - Communication, Thinking, Social, Self-management, Research)
**III. Assessment and Feedback**:
- Plan and implement effective assessment for/of learning which enhances outcomes for students
- Encouraging students to think and talk about their learning, develop selfcontrol and independence, concentrate and persevere, and listen attentively
- Assess students and provide both formative and summative evaluations
- Summative assessment are to be planned to assess the performance portfolio, based on the design assessment criteria and strands- Closely monitor the student projects and guide wherever necessary
- Provide oral and written feedback to students and other stakeholders
- Update the current status of the unit completion to the parallel teachers, head of the department and the section coordinator
- Receive and implement the feedback received from the section coordinator and the head of the department
- Evaluate and review their own teaching methods, materials and unit plans, and make changes as appropriate
