**Job Summary**:
**Key Responsibilities**:
Anchoring News Broadcasts: Present news updates, breaking news, and feature stories on air with clarity, accuracy, and professionalism.
Research and Fact-Checking: Thoroughly research news stories, verify sources, and ensure factual accuracy before presenting information to the audience.
Writing News Scripts: Write clear, concise, and engaging scripts for news broadcasts, ensuring adherence to broadcasting standards and time constraints.
Content Creation: Develop original content for digital platforms, including articles, blog posts, and social media updates, covering a wide range of topics.
Collaborating with Team: Work closely with producers, editors, and other team members to brainstorm ideas, coordinate coverage, and maintain editorial standards.
Staying Informed: Stay updated on current events, trends, and developments locally, nationally, and internationally to provide comprehensive news coverage.
Engaging with Audience: Foster engagement with the audience through interactive segments, social media interaction, and community outreach efforts.
Adhering to Ethical Standards: Uphold ethical principles of journalism, including accuracy, fairness, impartiality, and transparency, in all aspects of reporting and content creation.
Continuous Improvement: Seek feedback, pursue professional development opportunities, and adapt to evolving industry trends and technologies to enhance performance and relevance.

**Qualifications**:
Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, or related field.
Proven experience as a news anchor, reporter, or journalist in broadcast media.
Excellent verbal communication skills with a clear and articulate speaking voice.
Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to craft compelling stories and scripts.
Knowledge of AP style, broadcasting standards, and journalistic ethics.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in digital media tools, social media platforms, and content management systems.
Flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
Demonstrated passion for news, storytelling, and engaging with diverse audiences.
Previous experience in content writing, blogging, or digital media production is a plus.
