**Job Summary**:
The VMC Operator Cum Setter will be responsible for setting up and operating Vertical Machining Centers (VMC) to produce high-quality parts in accordance with the required specifications and tolerances. The individual will ensure efficient machine operation, perform quality checks, and maintain a clean and safe working environment. The role combines both the responsibilities of a machine setter (setting up machines and tools) and an operator (running the machine and ensuring production quality).

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Machine Setup**:

- Set up and configure VMC machines with proper tools, fixtures, and parts for each job.
- Select appropriate tooling, adjust machine parameters (speeds, feeds, etc.) based on job requirements.
- Load and unload materials on the machine, ensuring proper alignment and safety.
- Verify and calibrate machine settings to ensure they meet technical drawings and specifications.
- **Machine Operation**:

- Operate VMC machines to perform machining operations such as milling, drilling, tapping, and boring on various materials (metal, plastic, etc.).
- Monitor the machine during operation to detect any potential issues such as tool wear or defects in material.
- Perform regular in-process inspections to ensure part accuracy and quality.
- Adjust machine controls as needed to maintain product quality and tolerances.
- **Quality Control**:

- Inspect machined parts using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and height gauges.
- Ensure parts meet specifications and tolerances set by technical drawings.
- Document inspection results and report any deviations or defects.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety in the working area.
- **Maintenance**:

- Perform routine maintenance on machines, such as cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn-out parts or tools.
- Troubleshoot any machine faults and coordinate with the maintenance team when required.
- **Documentation and Reporting**:

- Maintain job and machine logs, documenting any issues, production rates, and quality control results.
- Report any production delays, tool breakages, or issues to the supervisor or production manager.
- **Safety and Compliance**:

- Follow all safety protocols and ensure the work area is clean, organized, and free of hazards.
- Comply with all relevant quality, environmental, and health and safety standards.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- **Educational Requirements**:

- High school diploma or equivalent. Technical diploma or certification in machining or mechanical engineering is preferred.
- **Experience**:

- Minimum 2-3 years of experience as a VMC Operator or Setter, preferably in a machine shop environment.
- **Skills**:

- Proficient in operating VMC machines and understanding CNC programming basics.
- Strong knowledge of machine setup, tooling, and calibration.
- Experience with measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, height gauges).
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and job orders.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot machine issues.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
