Assoc. Dir Planning and Controlling

+75 is the number of countries that Lean Digital Core (LDC) program will be rolled out across all units in Novartis Group affiliates.
LDC will simplify the way we work and allow us to leverage data for digital innovation at scale. We will achieve this through a focus on high quality data at the core, supported by end-to-end enterprise processes and new technologies, including the transformation of our ERP backbone to S/4HANA and integrated digital solutions around it.
As a key player in our program, this role will be accountable for the design, build and deployment of Planning solutions deployed on SAP BPC and Sap Analytic Cloud for planning.
Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Interact with business and domain experts to understand the data and the business challenges and document the requirements.
- Collaborate closely with the Global Process Owners (GPOs) to suggest standardized and simplified integrated solutions
- Own and drive technical solution proposals and develop Planning solutions (using SAP BPC, SAC) that will best suit the business needs, in alignment with the Novartis Architecture principles and standard processes.
- Prepare and run design workshops in the assigned “Products”, identify critical integration points and dependencies, propose solutions for key gaps, provide effort estimations while ensuring alignment with business and other teams
- Prepare and maintain training material and conduct trainings to Business customer as required.
- Independently lead small to medium teams to ensure timely delivery in line with overall project timelines and budget.Acts as role model for Novartis values and behaviors.
- Deliver assigned project work as per agreed timeline within budget and on-quality with adherence to the Program release calendar.

**Minimum requirements**
- Bachelor’s degree in business/technical domains. SAP certifications in SAP BPC, SAC is a plus.Good knowledge on SAP Financial Accounting is a Plus.
- 12 years of relevant professional IT experience in the related functional area. 10+ years’ experience in multiple assignments in IT, preferably relating to Finance, in large, multi-national companies.
- Should as well be able to deliver solution on SAP Analytics Cloud using live connection and on data acquisition mode.Successful global project management experience with distributed teams
- Deep, hands-on technical and operational expertise with IT technologies like: SAP BPC Standard and Embedded versions, SAP Analytics Cloud, SAP BW, SAP BW/4HANA, SAP BPC (Classic and embedded).
- Excellent insights to functional and technical aspect of SAP software components which includes SAP Business Planning and Consolidations (BPC) 10.1/11 Standard, Embedded and SAP Analytics Cloud technologies.
- Should be up to date with S4HANA, SAC and SAP BPC technology Roadmap.Business fluent in English (written and spoken). Excellent insights to functional and technical aspect of SAP software components which includes SAP Business Planning and Consolidations (BPC) 10.1/11 Standard, Embedded and SAP Analytics Cloud technologies.
- Should be up to date with S4HANA, SAC and SAP BPC technology Roadmap.Experience in advising peers and senior customers on complex issues and provide complex, contextual guidance to influence actions of internal and/or external partner, Experience in handling internal and external experts in different locations and time zones
