**Job Purpose**

The Cath Lab Scrub Nurse supports cardiologists by preparing instruments, maintaining a sterile field, anticipating surgical needs, and ensuring safe, effective patient care during invasive cardiovascular procedures.

**Responsibilities**:

- Prepare the sterile field and arrange instruments and supplies before procedures.
- Scrub in and assist cardiologists during diagnostic and interventional procedures (e.g., angiography, angioplasty, pacemaker/ICD insertion).
- Handle sterile instruments, guidewires, and catheters with precision and adherence to aseptic technique.
- Anticipate the needs of the physician and team during procedures.
- Maintain strict infection control protocols and surgical counts.
- Assist in pre-procedure patient preparation and positioning.
- Monitor and respond to patient status changes during procedures.
- Collaborate with the circulating nurse and other Cath lab team members to ensure smooth workflow and patient safety.
- Document procedures, instruments used, and medications administered accurately
- Respond promptly and effectively to emergency situations (e.g., cardiac arrest, Code STEMI).
- Maintain inventory and restock supplies as needed.
- Adhere to radiation safety protocols and regulatory standards.

**Job Specifications**:

- Qualification: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in managing similar roles in hospitals
- Technical Skills: Knowledge of cardiac catheterization and interventional cardiology procedures.
- Management Skills: Strong physical stamina to assist with patient positioning, transfer, and standing for extended periods.
- Communication Skills: Good command over English, Kannada. Ability to resolve problems through effective communication
