As a Junior Architect, you will work closely with senior architect and project teams to contribute to the design and development of architectural projects. Your responsibilities will involve assisting in various stages of the architectural process, from conceptual design to construction documentation. This role offers an opportunity to gain practical experience and grow your skills in a dynamic architectural environment.
- **Key Responsibilities**:_
**Design Development**: Collaborate with senior architects to develop design concepts, sketches, and 3D models for architectural projects. Assist in translating design ideas into architectural drawings and presentations.
**Project Coordination**: Support project teams in coordinating architectural design efforts with other disciplines, including engineers, consultants, and contractors. Assist in ensuring that project timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
**Drafting and Documentation**: Prepare architectural drawings, plans, sections, and details using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD) and Building Information Modeling (BIM) tools (e.g., Revit). Assist in producing construction documentation sets and specifications.
**Site Analysis and Research**: Conduct site visits and analysis to gather relevant information for project planning and design. Assist in researching zoning codes, building regulations, and technical requirements applicable to project locations.
**Presentation Graphics**: Assist in preparing visual presentations, renderings, and graphics to communicate design ideas effectively to clients, stakeholders, and regulatory authorities. Contribute to the development of presentation materials for client meetings and design reviews.
**Material and Product Research**: Support the selection of building materials, finishes, and products by researching options, evaluating performance characteristics, and assisting in the preparation of material palettes and specifications.
**Sustainability Integration**: Participate in the integration of sustainable design principles and practices into architectural projects. Assist in evaluating sustainable design strategies related to energy efficiency, environmental impact, and occupant comfort.
**Quality Assurance**: Assist in reviewing architectural drawings and documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project requirements and standards. Participate in quality assurance processes to identify and resolve issues during design development.
**Professional Developmen**t: Actively participate in learning and professional development activities to enhance your architectural skills and knowledge. Seek opportunities for mentorship and training to support your career growth within the firm.
**Team Collaboration**: Work collaboratively with architects, designers, and other team members to contribute to a creative and supportive work environment. Communicate effectively and proactively contribute to project discussions and problem-solving efforts.
- **Qualifications**:_
Bachelor's degree in Architecture/Diploma in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
Strong proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD) and BIM tools (e.g., Revit).
Proficiency in Lumion and visualization software (e.g.3Ds max, SketchUp).
Knowledge of architectural principles, design concepts, and construction techniques.
Excellent communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.
Ability to multitask, prioritize assignments, and meet project deadlines.
Enthusiasm for learning and a passion for architecture and design.
