**Combination Pipe FABRICATOR - Job Description** **Summary**: "Continual Improvement is our Motto" This mid-level position is responsible for fitting and welding the components of Multitechh Engi Fab (MEF) PIPING products. Works with limited supervision from a detailed specification that spells out every requirement for the specific job. The job requires each weld to be completed to the specified standards using appropriate equipment and materials while following the employer's recommended procedures. It's also important to observe applicable safety precautions, to minimise the risk of injury to the welder or other workers nearby. Many welders/ fitters supervise a team of helpers or assistants. - **APPLY ONLY VIA EMAIL. IMMEDIATE HIRING**_ **Essential Duties & Responsibilities**: - Reads and interprets drawings of all types of piping - Must be able to make fit-ups for X-ray welding for different sizes of pipe and material - Checking all the hold points before, during and after fabrication - Must be able to do basic calculations regarding fabrication drawings - Raw material checking - Works with different types and sizes of materials - Safely operates all the machines and tools - Assembly of components with some fabrication of equipment needed for the job with mínimal supervision - Works well with other departments on location - Must be able to operate basic cutting equipment - Promotes and supports safety, production and a positive attitude - Must be able to work with the team in developing improved work processes for the department - **APPLY ONLY VIA EMAIL. IMMEDIATE HIRING**_ **Basic Qualifications** - Minimum two years of related experience and/or training **Preferred Education/Experience**: - PIPING FABRICATOR - Must have two years of experience working on the floor running quality checks in fabricating - Must have experience operating other shop equipment (e.g., overhead crane, hand tools) - Must know different types and sizes of structural materials - Must know about weld fittings - Knowledge of different types and sizes of pipe, structural and vessel materials **Physical Strain**: - Standard requirements.
