**Job Title: Security Guard**

The Security Guard is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for customers and employees by patrolling and monitoring premises and personnel. The guard will protect property against theft, vandalism, and other illegal activities.

**Responsibilities**:

- **Patrol Premises**: Regularly patrol and monitor premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure the security of doors, windows, and gates.
- **Monitor Surveillance Equipment**: Observe and report suspicious activities using surveillance systems and other security devices.
- **Control Access**: Verify and authorize entry of employees, visitors, and other persons to maintain security and protect against unauthorized access.
- **Prevent Loss and Damage**: Guard against theft, vandalism, and other illegal activities by conducting regular inspections and enforcing company policies.
- **Provide Assistance**: Offer assistance and directions to visitors and customers in a courteous and professional manner.
- **Incident Reporting**: Prepare and submit detailed reports on incidents such as theft, unauthorized access, accidents, and other security breaches.
- **Emergency Situations**: Act swiftly and appropriately during emergencies, such as medical incidents, fire alarms, or evacuations, ensuring the safety of all individuals.
- **Collaborate with Law Enforcement**: Work with law enforcement officials when necessary, providing evidence and information about incidents.

**Qualifications**:

- **Education**: High school diploma or equivalent.
- **Experience**: Previous security-related experience preferred.
- **Skills**: Strong observational skills, attention to detail, ability to stay calm under pressure, good communication and interpersonal skills.
- **Certifications**: Security Guard certification and relevant licenses as required by state or local laws.
- **Physical Requirements**: Ability to stand or walk for long periods, lift or move up to 25 pounds, and handle potentially stressful situations.
