Provide nursing care to patient of different ages according to hospital policies.
- Ensure to deliver quality, timely & continuous care to patients.
- Interact with patient, understand their needs.
- Complete patient documentation & address patient quires & concern promptly.
- Provide treatment to patient as per Physician’s /RMO’s orders.
- Coordinate with Billing & reception dept for admission & discharge Or intra hospital transfer process.
- Operate medical instruments & equipments effectively to ensure patient safety.
- Train & get it done patient care like bed making, changing of bed sheets, mouth care, back care, bed bathing, hair wash, changing of position etc. from ward boy.
- Responsible for fulfill all basic needs (hygienic need, nutritional need etc) of the patients.
- **Handing over and takeover charge of patients at the end of the shift.**
- Write report of each shift and sign the report after checking properly.
- **Take the report, make bed to bed round at the time of changing of the shift of the unit.**
- Keep custody of dangerous drugs and record of their administration.
- Daily check of emergency drugs and life savings equipments.
- Make indents for drugs, surgical supplies, stores and issue.
- Keep all articles well arranged and maintain the inventory.
- Do the indenting and checking of drugs, linen and other supplies for ward and maintaining inventories.
- Follow prescribed rules in case of accident or death of a patient.
- Intimation to supervisors of any emergency or unusual occurrence in the ward.
- To prepare the drugs trolley properly.
- To fumigate the department periodically.
- To keep records of all the procedures of the patient neatly.
- Ensure to make the ward clean and tidy including bed.
- Keep supervision of work of Class IV staff allotted in the ward for maintenance of cleanliness and sanitation.
- Maintain cleanliness of ward, its annexes and environments.
- Make round with doctors and senior nursing officers.
- Keep herself up to date with nursing knowledge by taking part in -service education programme.
- Teach, supervise and guide nursing procedures to trainee Nurses.
- Document patients' treatment plans, interventions, outcomes, or plan revisions.
- Ensure that equipment or devices are properly stored after use.
- Educate patients & their relatives about the treatment procedures.
- Interact with patient pleasantly & positively & ensure patient satisfaction.
- While discharge of patient, see that all paperwork of file is complete.
- Attend OPD & Casualty patients.
- Cooperate MRD & TPA Department as per their necessity.
- Maintain Patient information secure & confidential.
- Provide guidance to other nurse staff when required.
- Maintaining good inter personal relationship among all categories of staff.
- Any other resposibilities given by Senior authorities time to time.
