**Job Location**: Sahibabad Industrial Area, Ghaziabad (UP)

**Preferred Qualifications (Full time)**:

- Masters/Ph.D. in Microbiology / Industrial Microbiology / Biotechnology / Industrial Biotechnology.

**Experience Range and Knowledge**:

- 5-7 Years

**Responsibilities**:

- Supervise and conduct microbiological testing of different types of compounds or materials to support development of antimicrobial products including MIC studies, resistance, growth curve analysis etc.
- Supervise and conduct isolation and characterization of microbes from any kind of sample by performing biochemical tests, phenotypic and genotypic characterization etc.
- Develop and maintain validation in all protocols for various analyses.
- Maintaining microbial bank, literature and knowledge on various research methods
- Design and execute experiments for new product development, recording, interpreting and analyzing data using statistical tools.
- Data management, present results and discuss conclusions within the context of an ongoing research programs
- Maintain inventory of materials and supplies for microbiology lab and ensure proper operation of laboratory procedures
- Maintain good laboratory practices and complete documentations control for all laboratory procedures
- Guide and mentor colleagues, juniors and trainees on a day-to-day basis
- Exposure and experience on preparing and delivering technical presentations and writing scientific articles in reputed journals.
- Prepare, check and maintain documents for ISO/IEC 17025 & ISO 9001, Lab safety & GLP
- **Willing to travel and stay for 2-3 days outside Delhi/NCR to project sites,or as per requirement.**

**Other Skill Set / Competency Required**:

- Experienced laboratory scientist with proven experimental skills and track record of delivery
- Hands-on experience in microbiology lab techniques like sterilization, aseptic techniques, serial dilution, inoculation, streaking, biochemical tests for microbial identification, screening and isolation of microbes, staining techniques, microscopy, cell enumeration etc.
- Hands on experience in handling strictly anaerobic and pathogenic bacteria
- Hands on experience on molecular techniques like gel electrophoresis, gel documentation, PAGE, DNA/RNA/Protein isolations and estimation
- Experiment design and Data analysis using statistical tools
- Fair understanding of ISO/IEC 17025 & ISO 9001, Lab safety & GLP management
- Microsoft office, Documentation and reports preparation
- Good communication Skills in both Hindi and English,
- Good in presentation skills, Management skills & Team spirit
- Experienced in handling/studying (isolation and identification) microbes for industrial fermentation, food industry, environmental bioremediation, anaerobic digestion, wastewater treatment etc.
- Experience of handling both aerobic and strictly anaerobic microorganisms is preferable.
