Executive - Accounts & Compliance

**Location**:
Chennai

**Reporting To**:
SME - Finance & Accounts

**Job Summary**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Maintain accurate books of accounts for assigned clients.
- Process daily accounting transactions, including accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, and journal entries.
- Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Ensure compliance with Indian tax laws (Income Tax, GST, TDS, etc.).
- Support in the preparation and filing of statutory returns (GST, TDS, Income Tax).
- Assist in statutory and internal audits by providing necessary documents and clarifications.
- Help ensure timely closure of accounts and reconciliations.
- Communicate with clients to clarify basic accounting, compliance, and audit-related queries.
- Maintain organized records and proper audit trails.
- Stay informed on updates in accounting standards, tax laws, and regulatory guidelines.

**Key Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree in commerce, Accounting, or Finance.
- Professional qualification such as CMA/CA-Inter/Pursuing ACCA/ACCA
- 1-2 years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, and compliance (preferably in a CA firm or corporate environment).
- Basic understanding of Indian tax laws (Income Tax, GST, TDS) and accounting standards (AS/Ind AS).
- Familiarity with audit processes and documentation.
- Working knowledge of accounting software (Tally ERP, Zoho Books, QuickBooks, or similar).
- Good MS Excel skills.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Effective communication skills to coordinate with clients and internal teams.
- Ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines.

**Preferred Skills**:

- Basic knowledge of ROC compliances.
- Experience with cloud-based accounting platforms.
- Exposure to working with clients across different sectors.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From ₹12,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Adambakkam, Chennai, Tamil Nadu: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
