- Business Project Delivery Technical lead is responsible to delivery projects on demand infrastructure delivery for Business Projects that includes testing, deployments, build and migration of large scale Unix infrastructure for all the business clusters globally.
- The implementation of all changes to the components of a live infrastructure, from request for change or project initiation through to deployment and review, to support the continued availability, effectiveness and risk compliance of the infrastructure.
- The purpose of the role is to provide technical support to enable on-going management of the UNIX environment and to provision new UNIX infrastructure to host new services
- It involves working with stakeholders, service managers, project managers, program managers, portfolio lead and other components team.
- Ability to think long term prospective, good presentation and organizing skill
- Liaise with other support teams to address the internal support team’s issues as well as share and adopt best practices being followed.
- Lead technical end to end resolution in major setups/issues
- Innovate and implement efficiency ideas
- Conduct technical session and publish whitepapers for technology support team
- Support weekend rota on rotating basis.

**What will you be doing?**
- Ensure that all requests from users for assistance are handled promptly and effectively (managed through on-call and standby arrangements). Is pro-active to ensure that users make effective use of the facilities available to them.
- Leading Business projects with E2E process - Take the full ownership of assigned projects, handle the project activities, complete all tasks and deliver the desired on agreed timelines by ensuring there is no project delivery failure. Follows appropriate infrastructure object deployment build guides or revised to ensure the error free delivery.
- AIX, pSeries virtualization, HACMP setup and troubleshooting.
- Implementation of changes on UNIX infrastructure related to hardware/software.Assist in the investigation and resolution of problems. Ensures that incidents and problems in systems and services are fully documented within the configuration/change management & problem reporting system.
- Configures the infrastructure environment to standards.
- Produces test specifications as required by project/change implementation plans, conducts tests as defined in these specifications and records the details of any failures in a concise but complete manner.
- Builds relationships with internal Barclays clients, discuss and understand their infrastructure needs both on a practical and commercial level. Provides input/influence to design activity.
- Ability to provide technical leadership in critical, complex and major issues / setups.

Stakeholder Management and Leadership

20% Technical Leadership
- Provides input into IT infrastructure sub-project plans and manage tasks to plan.
- Management of tasks and responsibilities to ensure the efficient running of the Supported Services and Project delivery.
- Direct and guide designs with less experienced technicians to ensure that infrastructure components are built and deployed in a consistent, simple and effective manner and that all infrastructure services comply with technical strategy and group policy.
- Be developing the governance, technical authority, leadership and direction necessary for the resolution of infrastructure issues which have not been resolved adequately at the detailed design
