**Key Duties and Responsibilities of a Cinematographer**:1. **Visual Storytelling**
- Collaborate with the director to understand and realize the visual tone, style, and mood of the project.
- Translate the script into visual imagery using composition, lighting, and camera movement.

2. **Camera Operation and Supervision**
- Select cameras, lenses, filters, and other equipment appropriate for the desired visual style.
- Supervise camera crew and operators, or operate the main camera in some cases.

3. **Lighting Design**
- Design and execute lighting setups to enhance mood, define space, and ensure proper exposure.
- Work closely with the gaffer (head electrician) to achieve the lighting plan.

4. **Shot Composition and Framing**
- Plan and compose each shot to support storytelling, mood, and visual aesthetics.
- Use techniques like depth of field, aspect ratio, and camera angles for visual impact.

5. **Pre-Production Planning**
- Scout locations to assess lighting conditions and plan shots accordingly.
- Create storyboards or shot lists in collaboration with the director.
- Participate in pre-visualization and camera tests.

6. **On-Set Collaboration**
- Coordinate closely with departments such as production design, costume, and makeup to maintain visual consistency.
- Communicate efficiently with the assistant director, script supervisor, and others on set.

7. **Post-Production Involvement**
- Oversee the color grading process to maintain consistency with the intended visual tone.
- Review dailies (raw footage) during shooting to adjust future scenes if needed.

8. **Budget and Scheduling Awareness**
- Work within time and budget constraints while achieving creative goals.
- Optimize use of resources such as lighting and equipment setups to stay efficient.

Pay: ₹14,819.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
