Some of What You'll Do

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:- Assist and provide advice to junior engineers ensuring that department best practices are followed.-
- TSG Ticket Resolution - 2nd level support.-
- Develop, repair and enhance operation’s scripts.- Provide technical expertise and system knowledge to Production Support personnel efforts, as it relates to customers, problems, issues and concerns.- Assist in reviewing and refining user requirements for systems development and maintenance projects.-
- Participate in the bi-annual Disaster Recovery tests.- Participate in the annual SAS/70 Audit test, as necessary.- Share knowledge and best practices with other company personnel.- Participate on a rotation pager schedule that provides system support on a 24 X 7 basis, 365 days/year.Job Requirements:
- BS degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field or equivalent work experience.- 5+ years of relevant professional experience in an Operations Support or Production Support environment.- Basic telecommunications and wireless industry knowledge.- 5+ years of experience working with Solaris and/or Redhat Linux operating systems.- 5+ years of experience working with Sun One Application, Web, and Proxy Servers.- 5+ years of experience working with UNIX shell scripting ksh, php, or perl.- 5+ years of experience writing complex Oracle PL SQL queries.- Experience working with Weblogic server would be a plus.- Experience working with Oracle WebCenter would be a plus.- Experience working with Veritas Cluster Server would be a plus.- Experience working with LDAP would be a plus.-
- Experience providing CSS/ACE Support would be a plus.- Working knowledge of Information Security concepts, including security policies, standards, and guidelines as they pertain to system configurations.
