**Job Title**: Operation Theatre Nurse

**Department**: Nursing - Operation Theatre
**Location**: Tieten Medicity Hospital, Kasarvadavli
**Reports To**: OT In-Charge / Nursing Superintendent

**Job Summary**:
The Operation Theatre Nurse is responsible for providing patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures. The nurse ensures that the operating theatre is prepared and sterile, assists the surgical team, and supports patient safety and infection control measures at all times.

**Key Responsibilities:Pre-Operative Duties**:

- Prepare the OT with required instruments, sterilized equipment, and consumables.
- Verify patient identity, surgical consent, and surgical site.
- Assist in positioning the patient and preparing the surgical site.
- Ensure compliance with surgical safety checklists.

**Intra-Operative Duties**:

- Assist the surgeon as a **scrub nurse** or **circulating nurse**.
- Maintain a sterile field and anticipate the needs of the surgical team.
- Handle surgical instruments and count sponges, needles, and instruments.
- Monitor patient vitals (in coordination with the anesthetist).

**Post-Operative Duties**:

- Help shift patients to the recovery area safely.
- Ensure all instruments and materials used are accounted for and disposed of properly.
- Prepare OT for the next procedure by cleaning and restocking.

**Documentation & Coordination**:

- Maintain proper OT records including surgery notes, instrument counts, and consumable usage.
- Coordinate with the OT technician, anesthetist, and CSSD (Central Sterile Services Department).
- Adhere strictly to infection control and sterilization protocols.

**Skills and Qualifications**:

- **Education**: GNM / B.Sc Nursing from a recognized institution.
- **Experience**: 1-5 years of relevant OT nursing experience preferred.
- **Skills**:

- Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and sterile techniques
- Team collaboration and communication skills
- Emergency response and patient care during critical scenarios

**Working Conditions**:

- Rotational shifts (including night shifts if needed)
- Must be able to stand for extended periods
- Exposure to infection risk; must strictly follow PPE and sterilization protocols

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Up to ₹25,000.00 per month
