**Role**:BI Developer (Financial Services)**

The role offers an exciting opportunity to work with one of the largest global asset management firms. As part of the Data Science practice, you will be working with leading financial institutions as a data modeler/visualization developer delivering smart business intelligence (BI) solutions. Key responsibilities include:

- Create visual outcomes which enable quick decision making with intuitive and self-servicing features
- Design intuitive and easy-to-use PowerBI dashboards from complex data sets with self-servicing features
- Strategize and ideate the solution design. Develop UI mock-ups, storyboards, flow diagrams, conceptual diagrams, wireframes, visual mockups, and interactive prototypes.
- Experience in writing complicated DAX queries and using Power Query transformation to arrive at the desired solution.
- Experienced with Structured Query Language (SQL), data analysis, data profiling, data validation. Good to have experience in PLSQL, Stored Procedures etc.
- Solid technical background with a complete understanding of Data Warehouse Modeling, architectures, OLAP, OLTP data sets, etc.
- Create and tune physical database objects (tables, views, indexes) to support logical and dimensional models
- Work directly with business units, build a strong understanding of the underlying business to develop BI tools that translate to actionable business-centric insights
- Proactively implement best practices across the group including quality improvement, code/architecture standards, code reusability, technical documentation, and technical design specifications etc.
- Effectively communicate with a capacity to present, discuss and explain issues coherently
- Contribute in development of advanced BI prototypes and proof-of-concept design

**Work Experience**
- 2-3 years of relevant experience in PowerBI development, data/BI modeling, SQL and reporting preferably in the banking and financial space

**Education**
- Master’s in Statistics / Computer Applications / Technology, Bachelors in Engineering
- Preferred - Professional certifications on visualization platforms such as Tableau/PowerBI

**Skills**
- Mandatory Skills: PowerBI (Strong), SQL (Strong)
- Preferred Skills: Excel VBA, Python, building ETL/BI solutions within Microsoft Azure
- Preferably has knowledge of REST APIs and/or JSON
