Electrical Supervisor

**Supervisor**: Maintenance Manager

**Position Description**:Provide expertise in the maintenance, repair and installation of electrical work at the school.

**Essential Selection Criteria**
- Preferably Diploma in Electrical and Electronics Engineering
- Should be a holder of Government valid Competency “C” License
- Five years work experience in the Electrical field and in the field of Operation & Maintenance of utility
- Demonstrates competent and up-to-date knowledge and skills in the areas of generator function pump sets, electrical installations, including appliances and electrical equipment
- Demonstrates competency in maintaining, operating and trouble-shooting electrical equipment
- Able to communicate effectively in written and oral English
- Possesses understanding of good customer service

**Responsibilities**
- Ensure that quality standards in all areas of school, student residences and school housing are maintained by checking the Maintenance Register for requests made by staff for house electrical maintenance and with the Dean, Activities Coordinator and other staff members for school functions, classroom maintenance etc.
- Be on-call to attend to electrical emergencies at the school at all times including after hours, weekends and holidays
- During school vacations, be available to work for the maintenance department on electrical work
- Receive electrical requests and ensure rectification of any electrical problems
- HT & LT cables laying, distribution of power supply, cable glanding & termination
- Installation & commissioning of DG sets, transformers
- Testing & commissioning of HT & LT switch gears
- Coordinating & maintaining records of materials procured & used on site
- Responsible for day-to-day electrical work. Should have hands on experience of Cabling (HV&LV), Street Light Pole Erection; LT, MCC & PCC Erection, Earthling and Lightening Protection
- Be a team player, ready to take challenges, eager to learn new things and perform under pressure
- Contribute to the planning of work program to maximize overall efficiency; and to assist other members of the team as required to carry out the planned work program Work Site Activity
- Investigation, repair faults and testing of site and area electrical equipment
- Fulfill any other duties as requested by the Principal
