**BU Description**
- We are Technology and Automation team that drives competitive Advantage for BMC by enabling recurring revenue growth, customer centricity, operational efficiency and transformation through actionable insights, focused operational execution, and obsessive value realization.

**Job Summary**

The BI Analyst will play a critical role in potential platform changes such as tool selection, on-premises vs. cloud BI, implementation planning and ensuring the business leverages the latest BI features and functionalities. Additionally, they will mentor junior team members, ensuring compelling visualizations that deliver a World Class user experience.

A highly motivated individual with a strong desire to make a difference and continuously improve BI capabilities will thrive in this role. Prior experience in a SaaS company is highly desirable, and familiarity with AI is an advantage.

**Key Responsibilities**

**BI Strategy & Tool Selection**
- Define and execute the dashboard strategy and roadmap, including tool selection and on-premises vs. cloud considerations.
- Stay up to date with emerging BI tools and vendors to ensure we leverage the best technology, and brings outside in, and thought leadership
- Continuously assess and implement new BI features and functionalities to enhance reporting and insights.

**BI Development, Visualization & User Integration**
- Design and develop compelling, user-friendly dashboards that provide clear insights and drive business decisions.
- Follow BI best practices, focusing on data visualization, usability, and performance optimization.
- Work closely with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into actionable BI solutions.
- Leverage semantic models to create reusable, scalable data models that integrate seamlessly into BI tools.

**Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement**
- Partner closely with IT, Finance, Sales, Customer Success, R&D, and Operations to ensure BI solutions meet business requirements.
- Act as the bridge between technical teams and business units, ensuring BI tools provide relevant and actionable insights.
- Support business leaders in making data-driven decisions by providing timely and accurate reporting solutions.

**Mentorship & Best Practices**
- Mentor and guide junior team members on BI best practices, ensuring high-quality visualizations and analysis.
- Promote data literacy across the organization, helping teams effectively use BI tools for decision-making.
- Establish and maintain BI governance to ensure consistency, reliability, and scalability of reports and dashboards.

**Data & Technology Ecosystem**
- Work with modern data platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, SQL, ensuring seamless data integration and analytics.
- Collaborate with data engineers and IT teams to optimise data pipelines and performance for reporting needs.
- Experience working with semantic models and integrating them into BI tools is essential.
- Familiarity with AI technologies and how they can enhance BI and analytics is desirable.

**Key Qualifications & Skills**
- Expertise in BI tools: Strong proficiency in Tableau, Power BI, and familiarity with emerging BI technologies.
- Data ecosystem knowledge: Experience with Snowflake, Databricks, SQL, and integrating with various data sources.
- Application stack understanding: Familiarity with Salesforce, Eloqua, Gainsight, Certinia and how BI interacts with them.
- Experience with semantic models, ensuring scalable, reusable data structures within BI tools.
- Dashboard & UX best practices: Ability to create compelling, user-friendly visualizations that enhance decision-making.
- BI strategy & governance: Experience in setting up a BI roadmap, tool selection, and governance frameworks.
- Collaboration skills: Strong ability to work cross-functionally with IT, Finance, Sales, Customer Success, R&D, and Operations.
