**Job Title: QC Inspector - Printing & Packaging**
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Quality Inspection**:
- Inspect incoming raw materials (e.g., paper, ink, film, adhesives) for quality compliance.
- Monitor in-process production activities to ensure adherence to specifications.
- Inspect finished packaging products for defects (e.g., misprints, color variation, alignment issues, cuts, lamination, etc.).
- **Testing and Measurements**:
- Conduct various tests (e.g., color consistency, adhesion, strength, barcode readability).
- Use measuring tools like calipers, micrometers, spectra photometers, and density meters.
- **Documentation & Reporting**:
- Maintain detailed inspection records, test results, and quality control reports.
- Document non-conformity and prepare corrective/preventive action reports (CAPA).
- **Process Monitoring**:
- Ensure that Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) are followed.
- Monitor and report deviations during the production process.
- **Collaboration**:
- Coordinate with the production team, designers, and supervisors to address quality issues.
- Work with procurement and vendor teams to resolve raw material quality problems.
- **Compliance & Standards**:
- Ensure compliance with ISO, HACCP, GMP, or other relevant quality management systems.
- Help prepare for customer audits and third-party inspections.
**Key Skills & Competencies**:
- Good understanding of printing processes (e.g., offset, gravure, digital).
- Attention to detail and strong visual inspection skills.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings/specifications.
- Familiarity with regulatory and industry standards (ISO 9001, BRC, etc.).
**Education & Experience**:
- **Education**: Diploma or Degree in Printing Technology, Packaging Technology, or a related field.
- **Experience**: 2-5 years of experience in QC/QA roles in the printing & packaging industry.
**Work Environment**:
- Factory/production floor setting.
- Shift-based work may be required.
- PPE usage (gloves, safety glasses) as per safety standards.
