**Job Title**: Hotel Accounts Executive

**Reports To**: Finance Manager / Hotel General Manager

**Company Description**

**Job Overview**:
The Hotel Accounts Executive is responsible for managing the day-to-day accounting operations of the hotel, including handling financial transactions, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring compliance with all accounting regulations. This position plays a key role in supporting the Finance Manager and ensuring the smooth financial operations of the hotel.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Accounting & Bookkeeping**:

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records for the hotel.
- Post daily financial transactions such as accounts payable, receivables, and journal entries.
- Prepare and process invoices, receipts, and payments.
- Reconcile and balance accounts on a monthly and quarterly basis.
- Prepare daily revenue and expense reports and submit them to management.
- **Financial Reporting**:

- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Ensure all financial transactions are in compliance with hotel policies and accounting standards.
- Prepare tax returns and reports as required by local and national tax authorities.
- **Accounts Receivable & Payable**:

- Monitor and manage accounts receivable and ensure timely collections.
- Process payments and handle the accounts payable functions.
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for payment processing.
- **Audit & Compliance**:

- Assist in the preparation of internal and external audits.
- Ensure adherence to all relevant financial regulations and policies.
- Assist with the implementation of financial controls and audit recommendations.
- **Cash Management**:

- Oversee cash flow and ensure there is sufficient liquidity to meet operational needs.
- Maintain accurate cash records and ensure proper handling of cash deposits.
- **Cost Control & Budgeting**:

- Support the Finance Manager in preparing and monitoring the hotel’s budget.
- Assist in cost analysis and cost control measures to ensure profitability.
- **Collaboration**:

- Work closely with other departments, such as front desk and operations, to ensure smooth communication and reporting.
- Provide financial advice and assistance to hotel management as needed.

**Requirements**:

- **Education**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- **Experience**:

- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably in the hospitality industry.
- Familiarity with accounting software (Tally & PMS preferred).
- **Skills**:

- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax regulations.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

**Working Conditions**:

- Full-time position.
- Occasional overtime may be required during peak business periods or month-end close.
