**Position Overview**:
As a Host/Hostess, you are the first point of contact for guests entering our establishment, providing a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Your role is crucial in creating a positive first impression and ensuring a smooth dining experience for our patrons. With your friendly demeanor and excellent organizational skills, you play a key role in coordinating seating arrangements and managing guest flow.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Guest Reception**:

- Greet guests as they arrive, welcoming them with a friendly smile and courteous demeanor.
- Assist guests with seating arrangements, taking into account their preferences and the availability of tables.
- Manage guest reservations, ensuring accurate recording and timely communication with the dining staff.
- **Seating Coordination**:

- Organize and prioritize seating to optimize table turnover and accommodate varying party sizes.
- Maintain awareness of table status, coordinating with servers to ensure efficient seating and service.
- Communicate any special requests or accommodations to the appropriate staff members.
- **Customer Service**:

- Provide information to guests about menu offerings, specials, and restaurant policies in a clear and helpful manner.
- Handle guest inquiries, concerns, and complaints promptly and professionally, seeking assistance from management when necessary.
- Anticipate guests' needs and strive to exceed their expectations by providing exceptional service.
- **Queue Management**:

- Manage waiting lists during peak dining hours, keeping guests informed of wait times and offering alternatives as needed.
- Maintain a tidy and organized waiting area, ensuring guests are comfortable while waiting for their tables.
- Monitor guest flow and adjust seating arrangements to minimize wait times and maximize efficiency.
- **Team Collaboration**:

- Collaborate with other front-of-house staff, including servers, bartenders, and management, to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate seating, relay guest preferences, and address any issues or concerns.
- Assist with various tasks as needed to support the overall operation of the restaurant.

**Qualifications**:

- Previous experience in a customer service or hospitality role preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and outgoing personality.
- Excellent organizational abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure, maintaining professionalism at all times.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Knowledge of restaurant procedures and terminology is an asset.
- Must be legally eligible to work in the jurisdiction and meet any age requirements for the position.
