**Summary of This Role**:
**What Part Will You Play?**:

- Assists with research through review of assigned aspects of NonStop/Mainframe operating system (OS), firmware, and Independent Software Vendor's (ISV) product upgrade packages under general/moderate review by higher level System Administrator. Provides findings with supporting details to Lead for review and determination. Supports roll-outs and testing of upgrades and new product installs to various environments, as directed. Develops roll-out schedules, with assistance. Serves as backup on assigned ISV products. Begins to peer review others work for validation. May lead less complex projects. Begins to develop and interpret technical specifications.
- May build and configure new, or maintain and monitor existing, databases as directed by higher level System Administrator.
- Provides higher level system administrators feedback on procedures to improve clarity, readability, and accuracy. Understands and demonstrates a thorough knowledge of disaster recovery techniques.
- Collects and reports data need by higher level System Administrators in capacity and resource planning and management.

**What Are We Looking For in This Role?**:
**Minimum Qualifications**
- Bachelor's Degree
- Relevant Experience or Degree in: Major in Computer Science preferred, other majors considered. Willing to accept additional experience in lieu of a degree.
- Typically Minimum 2 Years Relevant Exp
- Experience in system administration within a highly available enterprise environment or related experience.

**Preferred Qualifications**
- Typically Minimum 2 Years Relevant Exp
- Global Payments experience is strongly preferred.

- Operating Systems Knowledge (Mainframe Skills) - z/OS, TSO/ISPF, ISMF, JCL, Catalogs, Utilities
- Operating Systems Knowledge (HP NonStop Skills) - CA Unicenter, Guardian OS Basics, IBM Connect-Direct (NDM), MediaCom, FUP, TACL, Pathway, SCF, EMS, Spooler, TEDIT, Expand, SQL, OVNM, OSS, SafeGuard, VTS, Prognosis
- General Business Knowledge - A basic level of understanding of the payments industry and the role Global Payments performs for our clients. General knowledge of the enterprise infrastructure systems and how they work together to provide payment services.
