**Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Physicians**

**Summary Description**:
Diagnose and treat disorders requiring physiotherapy to provide physical, mental, and occupational rehabilitation.

**Job Tasks**:
Diagnosing pain as a result of an injury, disease, or a disabling condition.

Determining and implementing appropriate treatment plans for patients.

Record patient medical histories: Document examination results, treatment plans, and patients' outcomes. Record patient medical histories

Examine patients to assess mobility, strength, communication, or cognition

Assess characteristics of patients' pain such as intensity, location, and duration using standardized clinical measure

Treat chronic diseases or disorders: Provide inpatient or outpatient medical management of neuromuscular disorders, musculoskeletal trauma, acute and chronic pain, deformity or amputation, cardiac or pulmonary disease, or other disabling conditions.

Monitor patient progress or responses to treatments
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to plan or provide treatment

Test patient nervous system functioning and prescribe treatments or therapies

Train medical providers: Instruct interns and residents in the diagnosis and treatment of temporary or permanent physically disabling conditions.

Prescribe assistive medical devices or related treatments
- Counselling patients and their families and helping them adapt to lifestyle changes.- Providing support and advice to patients receiving long-term care.

**Salary**: ₹40,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
