**Position - GCP - Platform Migration Technical Architect**

**Location - Gurgaon/Remote**

**Experience - 6+**

In this role, you will be responsible for designing the architecture for the platform migration, ensuring seamless transition, and providing solutions to complex challenges. You will work closely with development teams to ensure successful implementation of the cloud-based architecture.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- ** Migration Strategy & Solutioning**:

- Provide guidance on best practices for GCP adoption, ensuring scalability, reliability, and cost-effectiveness of the solution.
- Develop and present technical solutions, including architecture diagrams, migration strategies, and detailed implementation plans.
- ** Platform & Cloud Expertise**:

- Architect and implement solutions on GCP using core services such as Google Compute Engine, Kubernetes Engine (GKE), Cloud Storage, BigQuery, Cloud Pub/Sub, Dataflow, Dataproc, and other relevant services.
- Ensure that the migration aligns with the client's business goals and operational requirements.
- ** Collaboration and Leadership**:

- Lead technical discussions with cross-functional teams to align on the migration strategy, timeline, and key milestones.
- Address potential roadblocks and troubleshoot complex issues related to platform migration.
- ** Technical Documentation & Communication**:

- Create comprehensive documentation of the architecture, solutioning approach, and migration processes.
- Provide regular updates to stakeholders and senior management on progress, challenges, and next steps.
- ** Continuous Improvement**:

- Stay up to date with the latest advancements in GCP, cloud computing, and big data technologies.
- Continuously evaluate and propose improvements to the platform migration process and end-to-end architecture.

**Must-Have Skills & Qualifications**:

- 6-8 years of hands-on experience in software architecture, with at least 2+ years in cloud platform migration.
- Strong proficiency with **Google Cloud Platform (GCP)**, including:

- Compute Engine, Kubernetes Engine (GKE), BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage, Dataproc, etc.
- Solid understanding of **Big Data technologies** such as Spark, Hadoop, Kafka, and their integration with GCP.
- Hands-on experience with **Java, Angular, and Spark** in a cloud environment.
- Proven experience in creating **cloud-based architectures**, including designing scalable, fault-tolerant, and highly available systems.
- Strong understanding of cloud security practices, network design, and identity management within GCP.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex issues and provide effective problem-solving strategies.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

**Good to Have Skills**:

- Certifications such as **Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect** or similar certifications in cloud architecture.
- Experience with **containerization** (Docker, Kubernetes) and **CI/CD pipelines**.
- Familiarity with **DevOps** practices, automation tools (Terraform, Ansible), and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC).
- Familiarity with **Serverless computing** and **event-driven architecture** in GCP.
