**Reports to**: Head of School / Hostel Manager

**Job Overview**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Student Supervision and Welfare**:

- Ensure the safety and well-being of students residing in the hostel, providing a nurturing and secure environment.
- Oversee students' daily routines, ensuring they adhere to school policies and schedules.
- Act as a mentor, offering guidance and support to students in matters related to personal development, studies, and social integration.
- Resolve student conflicts and mediate disputes, ensuring a peaceful atmosphere in the hostel.
- Monitor students' academic and extracurricular activities and provide regular feedback to parents and school management.
- **Discipline Management**:

- Ensure students follow hostel rules and regulations, maintaining discipline at all times.
- Implement disciplinary actions when necessary in consultation with the school's senior management.
- Organize and lead regular meetings with students to address concerns, reinforce rules, and encourage positive behavior.
- **Health and Safety**:

- Ensure the hostel premises are clean, hygienic, and safe at all times.
- Monitor the health and well-being of students, ensuring they receive medical attention when required.
- Respond to emergencies and provide first aid when necessary, liaising with medical professionals for further treatment if needed.
- **Communication**:

- Maintain open and effective communication with parents, teachers, and school management regarding the well-being of students.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for students' academic or personal concerns, addressing their needs promptly.
- Foster positive relationships with students, ensuring they feel comfortable sharing any issues or challenges they face.
- Maintain daily reports and logs of student behavior, incidents, and other key activities, reporting them to the management team.
- **Administrative Duties**:

- Coordinate hostel activities, including cultural and recreational events, ensuring that students participate in extracurricular activities to promote holistic development.
- Manage the hostel's daily operations, such as overseeing meal times, room allocation, and facilities maintenance.
- Keep accurate records of students' attendance, activities, and any incidents that require attention.
- Assist in the recruitment, training, and management of hostel staff.

**Required Qualifications and Skills**:

- **Education**:

- A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Education, Social Work, or Psychology).
- **Experience**:

- 3+ years of work experience in a similar role, preferably in a school hostel environment or residential facility.
- Previous experience working with children and adolescents is required.
- Proven ability to manage student behavior, mediate conflicts, and enforce rules with fairness.
- **Skills**:

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, staff, and parents.
- Strong leadership qualities, with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse group of students.
- Ability to remain calm and composed in emergency or challenging situations.
- Organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Knowledge of basic first aid and emergency response procedures.
- High level of emotional intelligence and empathy.
- **Personal Traits**:

- Strong sense of responsibility, reliability, and commitment to the welfare of students.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A positive, proactive, and supportive attitude.

**Immediate Joiner**:
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
