- **3D Modelling and Design**:

- Develop 3D models and detailed designs for interior products, including furniture, lighting fixtures, cabinetry, and other bespoke installations, using SolidWorks.
- Create accurate technical drawings, specifications, and blueprints for manufacturing and production.
- Ensure all designs are in line with industry standards, client requirements, and manufacturing capabilities.
- **Concept Development**:

- Collaborate with interior designers, architects, and clients to develop innovative product designs that align with overall project aesthetics and functional requirements.
- Generate concept sketches, mood boards, and design presentations to communicate design intent and vision.
- Incorporate feedback from clients and stakeholders to refine and optimize product designs.
- **Material and Manufacturing Considerations**:

- Select appropriate materials based on project requirements, functionality, and budget considerations.
- Ensure designs are optimized for production, considering factors such as cost, assembly, durability, and ease of manufacturing.
- Work closely with production teams to ensure manufacturability and address any design challenges during prototyping or production phases.
- **Technical Documentation**:

- Produce detailed technical drawings and BOMs (Bill of Materials) that specify dimensions, materials, finishes, and construction methods.
- Collaborate with the engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure that all technical documentation is clear, accurate, and production-ready.
- Revise designs based on prototype testing and feedback to improve the final product.
- **Simulation and Testing**:

- Use SolidWorks simulation tools to conduct virtual testing for structural integrity, material performance, and stress analysis where applicable.
- Identify potential design issues or material weaknesses and address them during the design phase.
- Ensure that the final design meets safety standards and functional requirements.
- **Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams**:

- Work closely with product managers, engineers, and project managers to align product designs with project goals and timelines.
- Participate in design reviews, providing input on design solutions and contributing to project problem-solving.
- Liaise with suppliers and vendors to ensure accurate material sourcing and custom part production.
- **Prototyping and Design Iteration**:

- Assist in the creation of prototypes by coordinating with production teams or external vendors.
- Evaluate prototypes for functionality, aesthetics, and production feasibility.
- Iterate designs based on prototype evaluations to finalize production-ready designs.
- **Quality Assurance and Compliance**:

- Ensure that all product designs comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and quality requirements.

- Maintain updated design documentation and revisions for all ongoing projects.

**Required Skills and Qualifications**:

- Proven experience as a SolidWorks Designer, preferably in interior product design or furniture design.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks, including 3D modeling, rendering, and simulation tools.
- Strong understanding of design for manufacturing (DFM) and experience with materials and production processes (woodworking, metalworking, plastics, etc.).
- Knowledge of interior design trends and aesthetics.
- Experience with AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, or other design software is a plus.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams and clients.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

**Educational Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design, Mechanical Engineering, Interior Design, or a related field.
- Certifications or coursework in SolidWorks (CSWP/CSWE) is an advantage.

**Work Environment**:

- Typically office or studio-based, with occasional visits to production facilities or client sites for design reviews and project evaluations.
- May involve working with physical prototypes and attending design and manufacturing meetings.
- Some travel may be required for client consultations, material sourcing, or factory visit
