**Role Description**

**This is a full-time on-site role for a Kathak Teacher at Ikigai Schools.**

**Kathak Teacher: Key Result Areas (KRAs) & Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)**

**KRA 1**:

- **Comprehensive Kathak Instruction & Skill Development**:

- Focus: Teaching core Kathak techniques, theory, compositions, and expression across all levels

KPIs:

- Student progression rate through defined curriculum stages (e.g., Foundational, Intermediate, Advanced).
- Demonstrable improvement in students' technical proficiency (e.g., Tatkaar clarity, Laya control, Hastak precision, Ang Shuddhi) measured via periodic practical assessments.
- Mastery of level-appropriate repertoire (Todas, Tukdas, Parans, Gat, Abhinaya pieces) demonstrated by students.
- Positive student/parent satisfaction ratings related to teaching clarity and effectiveness.

**KRA 2**:

- **Curriculum Design and University Syllabus Alignment**

Focus: Developing, implementing, and refining lesson plans and overall curriculum, ensuring alignment with traditional texts and specific university requirements

KPIs:

- Existence of up-to-date, documented curriculum and lesson plans for all taught levels.
- Demonstrated alignment of curriculum content with key Kathak texts (e.g., Natya Shastra, works by Azad, Garg) and specific syllabi of target universities (BHU, Bharati Vidyapeeth, MSU).
- Timely completion of planned curriculum units within academic terms/semesters.

**KRA 3**:

- **University Examination Preparation and Success**

Focus: Preparing and guiding serious students specifically for successful completion of university entrance/level examinations

KPIs:

- Percentage of eligible students successfully passing practical and theoretical examinations for target universities (BHU, Bharati Vidyapeeth, MSU) or equivalent recognized certifications.
- Number/Percentage of students successfully gaining admission into Kathak programs at target universities or other prestigious institutions.
- Average marks/grades obtained by prepared students in external/university Kathak examinations.
- Completion rate of planned mock exams and specialized coaching sessions for university aspirants.

**KRA 4**:

- **Student Assessment, Mentorship, and Performance Facilitation**

(Focus: Evaluating progress, providing guidance, fostering artistic growth, and creating performance opportunities)

KPIs:

- Regularity, quality, and documentation of individual student assessments and feedback.
- Student retention rate, especially for intermediate and advanced level students.
- Number and quality of student performances (showcases, competitions, recitals) organized or facilitated per academic year.
- Evidence of active mentorship for students pursuing higher education or professional paths in Kathak.

**KRA 5**:

- **Professional Conduct, Administration, and Continuous Learning**

(Focus: Maintaining professional standards, administrative duties, communication, and ongoing self-development)

KPIs:

- Accuracy and timeliness in maintaining administrative records (e.g., attendance, progress reports).
- Effectiveness and professionalism in communication with students, parents, and institutional staff.
- Adherence to institutional policies and codes of conduct, including fostering respect for the Guru-Shishya Parampara.
- Participation in relevant professional development activities (e.g., workshops, seminars, performances) annually.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
