- **Repairing and maintaining molds**:They perform regular maintenance and repairs on existing molds to ensure they function properly and extend their lifespan.
- **Operating machinery**:They operate various tools and machinery, including CNC machines, for cutting, shaping, and finishing molds.
- **Inspecting and testing molds**:Mold makers inspect and test molds to ensure they meet dimensional accuracy, surface finish, and other quality requirements.
- **Troubleshooting**:They diagnose and resolve issues with molds during production, working with engineers and production teams to optimize mold performance.
- **Following safety procedures**:Mold makers adhere to safety protocols in the workshop, including handling tools and materials, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
- **Maintaining records**:They keep accurate records of mold designs, modifications, and repairs.
- **Training and mentoring**:In some cases, mold makers may also train and mentor junior mold makers.
