**Roles and Responsibilities**
- Develop and manage a selection of Food & Beverages categories, especially hot & cold food, developing and implementing concrete category plans, which include buying strategies, sales forecasts, selection and validation of suppliers and negotiation strategies for supplier income budget, based on market, customer and historic sales insights and analysis.
- Assesses performance against key performance indicators on a regular basis, and amends activity as necessary to help optimize sales and gross margin.
- Supports day-to-day management of the food offer and relevant equipment, including resolving product issues and inputting to decisions about marketing, packaging, equipment and label development for all food service, especially hot & cold beverages, activity.
- Reviews effectiveness of operating processes and food service standards on an ongoing basis.
- Builds relationships with third party logistics and food service suppliers, conducting negotiations, addressing day-to-day supplier relationship issues, and ensuring suppliers are in line with the relevant food safety requirements.
- Works with suppliers and marketing to develop promotions that drive customer awareness and buying behavior, working to ensure price book accuracy and minimize operational issues, and provides accurate forecasting of new and promotional lines to ensure full availability and appropriate stock levels are maintained.
- Manages all food safety processes, compliance & assurance. Ensures full compliance with all functional and HSSE standards applicable to convenience trading with a specific focus on food safety.
- Ensures safety of proprietary food products through effective processes, management of products, suppliers, recalls and development of organizational capabilities.
- Compliance with JVs Code of Conduct and models Values & Behaviors.
