**About the Team**

The S&D vertical at Ninjacart is focused on the farm to retailer business of procuring from farmers and delivering to retailers - ensuring that farmers get paid the right price for their efforts and that retailers are able to get market quality produce delivered at their doorsteps. The last mile distribution is handled by our Distributor partners based out of our Micro Distribution Centres.

As a part of the team, you will be in charge of managing the entire value chain for the assigned category you will manage. For this, you will need to work with the Sourcing team to determine the product specifications and ensure we are buying the right quality produce from the right source. You will also need to work closely with the sales team to drive Tonnage, Customer Retention and other key growth initiatives. You will be responsible for estimating the customer demand and taking run-time calls on discounts and stock liquidation. You will work closely with an Assistant Category Manager to determine the selling price and manage the Gross Margins for your category.

**Responsibilities**:

- Demand prediction based on historical trends- Runtime calls on discounts to increase sales and reduce the recovery loss- Penetration and tonnage growth of SKUs within your category- Coordinate with Tech/Product for any runtime issues in operations- Track metrics, prepare and publish reports to senior management
