The Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) in Psychology will be responsible for teaching psychology at the senior secondary level, preparing students for board examinations, and fostering a deeper understanding of human behavior, cognitive processes, and mental health. The teacher will inspire students to explore the field of psychology and equip them with critical thinking and research skills.
**Key Responsibilities**
- **Curriculum Delivery**:
- Teach the prescribed syllabus in Psychology for Classes XI and XII as per the relevant educational board (e.g., CBSE, ICSE, or State Board).
- Deliver engaging lessons on topics such as developmental psychology, cognitive processes, social psychology, mental health, and research methods.
- Incorporate real-world examples, case studies, and psychological experiments to enhance understanding.
- **Student Development**:
- Mentor students in preparing for competitive exams, psychology-related projects, and research presentations.
- Promote awareness of mental health and emotional well-being.
- **Assessment and Evaluation**:
- Design and conduct tests, assignments, and projects to assess student progress.
- Provide timely and constructive feedback to help students improve their knowledge and performance.
- **Classroom Management**:
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning.
- Encourage open discussions, critical thinking, and respectful expression of ideas.
- **Collaboration and Communication**:
- Work collaboratively with other faculty members to ensure an interdisciplinary approach to teaching.
- Maintain open communication with parents/guardians about student progress and areas for improvement.
- **Professional Development**:
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in psychology and teaching methodologies.
- Participate in training programs, workshops, and seminars to enhance professional knowledge and skills.
- **Extracurricular Engagement**:
- Organize and mentor students in psychology-related activities such as workshops, mental health awareness programs, and exhibitions.
- Encourage participation in inter-school or national-level psychology competitions and events.
**Qualifications and Skills**
- **Educational Qualifications**:
- Master’s degree in Psychology or a related field.
- B.Ed. or equivalent teaching qualification preferred.
- **Experience**:
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience teaching Psychology at the senior secondary level is preferred.
- **Knowledge and Skills**:
- Strong understanding of psychological theories, concepts, and research methodologies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to integrate technology into teaching.
- Empathy and sensitivity in addressing mental health topics.
Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹55,000.00 per month
