**Job Summary**:
As a Captain at '4 The Taste,' you will play a key role in ensuring that guests have an exceptional dining experience. You will supervise and coordinate the activities of the service staff, maintain high standards of service, and ensure that all guests are satisfied with their dining experience. Your leadership and customer service skills will be essential in upholding the restaurant's reputation for quality and excellence.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Team Supervision**:

- Supervise and guide the wait staff, ensuring they deliver excellent service to guests.
- Assign tasks and seating arrangements to waiters based on the reservation and guest flow.
- Monitor staff performance and provide feedback to improve service quality.
- **Guest Relations**:

- Greet and welcome guests as they arrive, ensuring a warm and hospitable atmosphere.
- Address guest inquiries, requests, and complaints promptly and professionally.
- Ensure that guests receive timely service and that their dining needs are met.
- **Order Management**:

- Take orders from guests when necessary and ensure they are accurately relayed to the kitchen.
- Coordinate with the kitchen staff to ensure that food is prepared and served according to the guests' preferences and dietary requirements.
- Ensure that orders are delivered to the table in a timely manner.
- **Quality Control**:

- Regularly check on the guests during their meal to ensure they are satisfied with the food and service.
- Maintain high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and organization in the dining area.
- Oversee the setup of the restaurant, including table settings, decor, and lighting.
- **Training and Development**:

- Train new wait staff on service protocols, menu knowledge, and customer interaction.
- Continuously coach and mentor the team to enhance their skills and efficiency.
- **Billing and Payments**:

- Oversee the billing process, ensuring accuracy in all transactions.
- Assist in handling payments and ensure that the cash register is balanced at the end of the shift.
- **Coordination and Communication**:

- Communicate effectively with the kitchen, bar, and other departments to ensure smooth operations.
- Report any issues or incidents to the Restaurant Manager promptly.
- **Inventory Management**:

- Assist in managing the inventory of tableware, linens, and other dining essentials.
- Ensure that all necessary items are available and in good condition for service.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- **Experience**: Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a supervisory role in a restaurant or hospitality setting.
- **Education**: High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality management or related training is a plus.
- **Skills**:

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Ability to handle high-pressure situations and make quick decisions.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to providing top-notch service.
- Knowledge of different cuisines and dietary requirements.
