**Position Summary**:
The Animation and VFX Artist is responsible for creating captivating animations and visual effects in both 2D and 3D formats to enhance storytelling across various media. This role involves designing, developing, and implementing animations and effects for film, television, games, or digital platforms, ensuring high-quality, innovative visual experiences.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **2D Animation Production**: Create high-quality 2D animations including character animations, backgrounds, and visual effects. Use industry-standard software to bring 2D elements to life.
- **3D Animation Production**: Develop and produce detailed 3D animations, including character rigging, modeling, texturing, and rendering. Utilize 3D software to create realistic and stylized visual content.
- **VFX Creation**: Design and implement visual effects (VFX) such as explosions, weather effects, magical elements, and other dynamic visual components in both 2D and 3D environments.
- **Collaboration**: Work closely with directors, producers, and other team members to understand project requirements and deliver animations and effects that align with the creative vision.
- **Technical Integration**: Ensure that 2D and 3D animations and VFX are seamlessly integrated into final products. Collaborate with technical teams to troubleshoot and resolve any issues.
- **Asset Management**: Create, manage, and optimize animation and VFX assets for efficient use within projects. Maintain organized libraries of resources.
- **Quality Assurance**: Conduct thorough reviews and revisions of animations and VFX to ensure they meet project standards and deadlines.
- **Innovation**: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, techniques, and software advancements. Propose and implement new methods and technologies to enhance visual quality.
**Qualifications**:
- **Experience**: Proven experience in 2D and 3D animation and VFX roles, with a strong portfolio showcasing your skills and previous work in both areas.
- **Technical Skills**: Proficiency in industry-standard animation and VFX software such as Adobe After Effects, Adobe Animate, Autodesk Maya, Blender, Houdini, or similar tools.
- **Creativity**: Strong artistic vision with the ability to create visually stunning and effective animations and effects in both 2D and 3D.
- **Attention to Detail**: Excellent eye for detail and the ability to produce polished, high-quality work.
- **Communication**: Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
- **Problem-Solving**: Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and find creative solutions to achieve desired visual outcomes.
- **Education**: A degree in Animation, Visual Effects, Computer Graphics, or a related field is preferred but not required based on experience.
