**Job Summary**:
The Airline Ticketing Agent is responsible for managing ticket reservations, cancellations, and changes for passengers. This role involves providing information about flight schedules, fares, and routes, as well as assisting passengers with their travel needs. The Airline Ticketing Agent ensures that all transactions are completed accurately and efficiently, contributing to a smooth and pleasant travel experience for customers.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Ticketing and Reservations**:

- Assist passengers with booking flights, including domestic and international routes.
- Issue, reissue, and cancel tickets in accordance with airline policies and procedures.
- Provide accurate information regarding flight schedules, fare rules, seat availability, and baggage allowances.
- Manage changes to flight reservations, including date changes, route changes, and upgrades.
- Process refunds for canceled tickets according to airline guidelines.
- **Customer Service**:

- Provide exceptional customer service to passengers, addressing inquiries and resolving issues related to bookings, cancellations, and travel arrangements.
- Assist passengers with special requests, such as wheelchair assistance, unaccompanied minors, and dietary preferences.
- Handle customer complaints and escalate issues to supervisors when necessary.
- Offer alternative travel solutions in case of flight delays, cancellations, or overbooked flights.
- **Fare Calculations and Payments**:

- Calculate and quote fares for different routes and travel classes.
- Process payments for ticket purchases, including credit card transactions, cash payments, and online payments.
- Ensure that all financial transactions are recorded accurately and that receipts are provided to passengers.
- **Documentation and Compliance**:

- Verify passenger identification and travel documents, including passports, visas, and other required documents.
- Ensure compliance with airline policies, aviation regulations, and security procedures.
- Maintain records of all transactions and ensure that ticketing data is updated in the system.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports on ticket sales, refunds, and customer interactions.
- **Collaboration and Coordination**:

- Coordinate with other airline departments, such as baggage handling, check-in, and customer service, to ensure a seamless travel experience for passengers.
- Work closely with travel agencies and tour operators to manage group bookings and special arrangements.
- Liaise with airport staff and ground handling agents to address any issues related to ticketing and passenger services.
- **Sales and Promotion**:

- Promote airline products and services, including frequent flyer programs, travel insurance, and additional baggage options.
- Assist with marketing campaigns and promotions aimed at increasing ticket sales.
- Provide information on airline loyalty programs and assist passengers with enrollment and benefits.

**Key Qualifications**:

- **Education**:

- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- A diploma or certification in travel and tourism, aviation, or related fields is preferred.
- **Experience**:

- Previous experience in airline ticketing, reservations, or customer service is preferred.
- Experience with Global Distribution Systems (GDS) such as Amadeus, Sabre, or Galileo is an advantage.
- **Skills**:

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle stressful situations calmly.
- Proficiency in using airline ticketing software and GDS.
- Multilingual skills are an asset, especially in languages commonly spoken by passengers.
- **Other Requirements**:

- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and shifts, as required by the airline's operations.
- Strong customer service orientation with a focus on resolving passenger issues.
- Knowledge of airline regulations, fare structures, and ticketing procedures.
