Laser Machine Programmer

**Job Summary**:
As a Laser Machine Programmer, you will be responsible for programming, setting up, and operating laser cutting, engraving, or welding machines to produce precision components or products. You will collaborate with engineers, designers, and production staff to translate design specifications into machine instructions and ensure the efficient and accurate execution of manufacturing processes.

**Responsibilities**:

- Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and design specifications to determine the programming requirements for laser machining operations.
- Develop CNC (Computer Numerical Control) programs using CAD/CAM software to control the movement and operation of laser cutting, engraving, or welding machines.
- Set up laser machines and equipment according to job specifications, including selecting appropriate materials, tools, and parameters.
- Program machine parameters such as power, speed, and focal length to optimize cutting, engraving, or welding processes for different materials and thicknesses.
- Collaborate with engineers, designers, and production staff to troubleshoot design issues, optimize manufacturing processes, and ensure product quality and accuracy.
- Test and debug CNC programs to verify accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to quality standards.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks on laser machines, such as cleaning optics, replacing lenses, and checking coolant levels, to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
- Monitor machine operation and performance during production runs, making adjustments as necessary to maintain quality and efficiency.
- Conduct inspections of finished products to verify dimensional accuracy, surface quality, and compliance with specifications.
- Document CNC programs, machine settings, and production parameters for future reference and replication.
- Train and mentor machine operators and production staff on CNC programming techniques, machine operation, and safety procedures.
- Stay updated on advances in laser technology, CAD/CAM software, and manufacturing processes to continuously improve programming techniques and capabilities.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering, or a related field. Equivalent work experience or technical training may be considered.
- Proven experience as a CNC programmer, preferably in laser machining or related manufacturing processes.
- Proficiency in CAD/CAM software, such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, for creating and editing CNC programs.
- Knowledge of G-code programming language and CNC machining principles, including toolpath generation, machining strategies, and post-processing.
- Familiarity with laser cutting, engraving, or welding processes and equipment, including CO2 lasers, fiber lasers,
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills for interpreting technical drawings, performing calculations, and troubleshooting programming issues.
- Attention to detail and precision in programming CNC machines to achieve tight tolerances and quality standards.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to analyze complex problems, propose solutions, and implement improvements.
- Adherence to safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents, injuries, and equipment damage.

**Work Environment**:
This role typically operates in a manufacturing or production environment, where noise levels and temperature may vary. Personal protective equipment (PPE) may be required, and adherence to safety protocols is essential.

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
