**Data Architect**

Job Responsibilities
- Provide strategic guidance and recommendations on patterns/practices for using the various database technologies (relational, noSQL, graph, time series, etc.) both on-prem and in cloud.
- Provide technical expertise for change initiatives, working with solution architects, technical architects, and business product owners.
- Build and maintain appropriate Enterprise Architecture artefacts including Entity Relationship Models, Data dictionary, taxonomy to aid data traceability.
- Reinforce enterprise-wide documentation of data flows and data entity/attribute cataloguing Work with teams to consult on data design initiatives - ensuring local consistency and enterprise-wide consistency, where possible.
- Provide technical oversight to Solution Architects in creating business driven solutions adhering to the enterprise architecture and data governance standards.
- Understand relevant clinical research and commercial healthcare data and terminology

standards (CDISC, FHIR, LOINC, MedRA, etc.).
- Help establish mappings between related constants, values, and vocabularies
- Defines standards for naming, describing, governing, managing, modelling, transforming, and searching all data within the enterprise or business function ecosystem.
- Serves as the liaison between data producers, information management, data solution developers and data consumers
- Possesses a deep understanding of how data is, or will be used and implication on people, processes, capabilities, and technology
- Maintain data separated and secure across national boundaries through multiple data centres and Multi Cloud deployment frameworks.
- Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability and performance.
- Partner with other enterprise architects/functional technical teams who have advanced knowledge of Lilly architecture and engineering methodologies, UCD/UX practices, storage/network/compute infrastructure technologies to deliver end-to-end data and analytics solution.

Qualification and Skill Sets

BE, BTECH, MS, MCA from a reputed institute with min 12+ years IT exposure, out of which min 6+ years of experience in architecting, designing, and developing large scale data solutions around major technologies.
- Good exposure to Python, SQL, Hadoop, Hive, Spark, UNIX Shell scripting, and Informatica big data
- Migration of data and Data Lake building exposure in any of the cloud (AWS, Azure) is preferred.
- Expertise in JSON, REST API and other data integration strategies.
- Adept in building data pipeline using cloud native and as well as 3rd party tools.
- Exposure to architecture framework and tools like Zapman, Togaf9.2, Archimate is an added advantage.
- Good understanding of common standards & regulations such HIPPA, PCI DSS, GDPR, ISO/IEC 27001, NIST etc
- Any Data Architect Certification desirable (Microsoft data engineer, Big data architect, CCP Data Engineer, AWS Certified Data Analytics etc).
- Excellent oral, communication Skill
- Prior experience of leading a team is preferred.
- Passion for learning new technical disciplines; especially in the data standards, information management and data quality domains.
