**What you will be doing at Evalueserve**:

- Create and maintain LookML code, which defines data models, dimensions, measures, and relationships within Looker.
- Develop reusable LookML components to ensure consistency and efficiency in report and dashboard creation.
- Build and customize dashboard to Incorporate data visualizations, such as charts and graphs, to present insights effectively.
- Write complex SQL queries when necessary to extract and manipulate data from underlying databases and also optimize SQL queries for performance.
- Identify and address bottlenecks that affect report and dashboard loading times and Optimize Looker performance by tuning queries, caching strategies, and exploring indexing options.
- Configure user roles and permissions within Looker to control access to sensitive data & Implement data security best practices, including row-level and field-level security.
- Good understanding of Looker API, SDk and extension framework.
- Use version control systems (e.g., Git) to manage LookML code changes and collaborate with other developers.
- Provide training and support to business users, helping them navigate and use Looker effectively.
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to Looker, data models, and reports.
- Proficiency in Denodo VQL (Virtual Query Language) and hands-on experience in designing and implementing complex Denodo views and data services.
- Solid understanding of database management systems (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL) and experience in SQL query optimization and performance tuning.
- Obtain and maintain strong knowledge of the Denodo Platform including overview of our key and advanced features and benefits, services offerings, differentiation, and competitive positioning.
- Be able to address a majority of technical questions concerning customization, integration, enterprise architecture and general feature / functionality of the platform
- Take a lead role in developing compelling product demonstrations, showcasing the capabilities and benefits of Denodo's products, and tailoring these demos to address specific customer needs.
- Lead and actively participate in hands-on proof-of-concepts (POCs) that require deep technical knowledge, ensuring customers fully comprehend the value and functionality of Denodo's solutions.
- Provide timely, prioritized, and complete customer-based feedback to Product Management, Sales, Support and/or Development regarding customer requirements and issues.

**What we’re looking for**:

- Experience in Looker's modeling language, LookML, including defining data models, dimensions, and measures.
- Strong SQL skills for writing and optimizing database queries.
- Understanding of different SQL database systems and dialects (GCP/BQ preferable)
- Knowledge of data modeling best practices.
- Proficiency in ETL processes for data transformation and preparation.
- Skill in creating visually appealing and effective data visualizations using Looker's dashboard and reporting tools.
- Ability to optimize Looker performance by fine-tuning queries, caching strategies, and indexing options.
- Familiarity with related tools and technologies, such as data warehousing (e.g., BigQuery), data transformation tools (e.g., Apache Spark), and scripting languages (e.g., Python).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of data governance principles and practices to ensure data quality, privacy, and compliance within Looker.
- Willingness to stay updated on Looker's latest features and best practices in data analytics and BI.
- Create and maintain efficient data models.
- Finetune queries and optimize the overall performance of Looker dashboards.
- Provide training and support to end-users, help them understand how to use Looker effectively for data analysis and decision-making.
- Excellent understanding of advanced looker concepts - liquid, data security, complex derived tables, caching / PDTs, etc.
- Troubleshoot issues related to data modeling, queries, and dashboards, identify root causes, and implement solutions to resolve them effectively.
