Title**:Junior Music Faculty (Piano/Music Appreciation Programs)**

Reports To**:Music Education Dept (HOD)**

**Primary Objective**
- There is NO previous music qualification, learning or teaching experience required
- The only prerequisite is a passion to teach young students
- A general interest in music is preferred
- All training programs include international certification from the London College of Music (LCM)

The qualifications and training provided to the teacher will be according to the quality standards prescribed by LCM. This includes regular classes, events preparation, examinations, regular reporting and parent-teacher associations as stated by the Institute. To impart education to designated students as per the following:
**Prerequisites**:

- Graduation in any field
- Computer Literate (MS Office)
- Must be 21 or older
- Excellent Communication Skills

**Typical work activities**

Responsibilities likely to include:

- Imparting individual lesson plans and overall schemes of work for pupils according to the yearly programs prescribed by the Institute;
- Developing knowledge of materials and repertoire for students at different stages of their musical development;
- Teaching individual and/or group lessons lasting from 45 minutes to an hour or longer, as per the program requirements and faculty qualifications usually incorporating elements of general musicianship, such as ear training and theory, as well as instrumental technique and interpretation;
- Entering and preparing students for internal and external examinations, quarterly tests and regular assessments;
- Communicating with parents about their child's lessons and progress through feedback mechanisms and PTA meetings scheduled for the student;
- Preparing students for performance opportunities for, such as concerts and recitals;
- Working with groups of musicians within the Institute and participating in teacher-led activities and performances in various concerts and events;
- Expanding your own musical experience by familiarising yourself with the music your pupils listen to, by learning the instrument and continually preparing and appearing for higher level exams as prescribed in the teacher career progression charts, by becoming familiar with other musical styles and developing your improvisation or vocal skills;
- Supporting students in their use of music technology, keeping up to date with in-house software tools;
- Planning and working on your professional development by gaining further teaching or performance qualifications and continuing your own performance activity;
- Ensuring that you adhere to health and safety standards, are adequately insured and work in line with child protection legislation;
- Providing continuous feedback to the school and HOD about issues that you face in the classroom and proactively seeking remedies with the relevant departments;
- Ensuring timely and accurate feedback to students and regarding the sanctity and importance of reporting, both to students as well as the management about progress made in class;
- We are looking for creative, musical, high-energy people with strong skills in teaching and providing high-quality music education.

**Salary**: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
