Architect - Power Subsystems

**Job Description Summary**: As a Architect you will drive the design, development and timely delivery of power subsystem hardware for use in the Anesthesia and Respiratory medical devices. With your experience in HW design, you will work on platform hardware, engage with global team to get things done with right quality for acceptance of deliverables.

**In this role you are require to**
- Focus on architecture and integration of Power Supply Platform technology across ARC(Anesthesia and Respiratory )products
- Contribute to research efforts to develop a solution or a new product
- Investigate, develop, and implement battery backup technology solutions unique to ARC(Anesthesia and Respiratory ) product / product roadmap requirements
- Drive team competency in designing to IEC( The International Electrotechnical Commission ) 60601-1 electrical safety and oxygen enrichment mitigation requirements
- Drive a culture with design for reliability in mind
- Participates in the development of less experienced staff by setting an example, providing guidance and work direction, and offering counsel.
- May lead a project team and interact with vendors.
- Participates in determining goals and objectives for projects.
- Influences middle management on technical or business solutions.
- Plans and organizes non-routine tasks.
- Electrical design of power supply subsystems, including portable power backup solutions
- Experience and success with concept-to-production engineering, including high level design, detailed design, schematic entry, simulation, layout management, prototype assembly logistics, board bring-up, lab debugging, system integration, design verification, and manufacturing handoff.
- Evaluate and improve cable design and routing.
- Create or update PCB(Printed Circuit Board) design and documentation.

**Qualifications/Requirements**:

- Bachelors/Masters degree in Electrical/Electronics/Power Electronics Engineering
- 12+years of industry experience in concept to delivery of power subsystem hardware for medical device/systems.
- Demonstrated experience in techincal reviews throught out project cycle to timely deliverables of product.
- Define the requirements for firmware development, test automation tool development and closure of the same by reviewing respective teams.
- Hands-on experience with schematic tools like Allegro Design Entry HDL(High definition Language)/ OrCAD(Computer Aided design capture, layout tools like Allegro PCB(Program Control Board) designer / Altium/ PADs and circuit simulation tools like Pspice( P-Simulation Program with Integrated Circuit Emphasis )/LTspice(Linear Technology Simulation Program with Integrated Circuit Emphasis)
- Thorough understanding of New Product Introduction (NPI), regulatory compliance process, design history file and related documentation
- In-depth knowledge on ISO( International Organization for Standardization), FDA(Final design approval) and other regulatory standards like IEC( International Electrotechnical Commission )
