About us

LeapForWord is a product NGO committed to eliminating the single biggest bottleneck of Poor English Capabilities, which prohibits students of regional language communities from accessing Professional Education & better Employment Opportunities. LeapForWord primarily works with English teachers from government schools. Throughout the academic year, we engage closely with these educators—training them in our methods, sharing curriculum content and quizzes via WhatsApp, and consistently motivating them to implement our program in their classrooms. We are currently operational in **12 states**, having reached over **5.3+lakh teachers** and positively impacted **5.4+million students** through their effort.

Where do you come in:
Key responsibilities that you will have:

- Creating and curating content in accordance with the team lead's guidelines.
- Proofreading current content (both physical and digital formats) to find and correct errors.
- Creating multi-purpose communication messages in the local language.
- Document translation from English to TAMIL and vice versa is possible.
- Keeping the content database up to date and maintained.
- The opportunity to work on several tasks at the same time.
- Writing articles, requests, suggestions, and other documents in English to TAMIL.
- Any other work that is needed to ensure that our content and product deliverables are always met.
- Connect with the teachers on call and assist them throughout about the Teacher life cycle.
- Field visit to check the implementation of the programme and to clarify the doubts of the teachers teaching in classrooms.

Key skills that we are looking for:

- A bachelor's degree in the language field is required.
- Content management systems are something you should be familiar with.
- Proficient in **written & spoken** English, TAMIL. Knowledge of basic Hindi is a plus.
- Having Tamil as a native language is a plus.
- Working in a fast-paced setting is a must.
- The ability to adapt the writing style to the intended audience.
- Should have a keen eye for detail and result oriented.
- Good communication skills.
- Excellent writing and editing abilities.
- Should possess team working and collaboration skills.
- Someone from native (Chennai) should only apply.

Remuneration
- The pay will be benchmarked depending on the applicant's most recent drawn salary if the applicant is experienced.

Pay: ₹180,000.00 - ₹250,000.00 per year
