Role Summary

Security Architect

A Network Security Architect shall be responsible for the design, evaluate, test & implement innovative, agile & cost-effective network security
controls and technologies to protect from various network threats, intrustions & vulnerabilities to strengthen security posture and ensure the
control effectiveness of security systems within an organization.
Work closely with diverse IT teams to ensure the security, integrity and availability of information and data.

Additional Information

1.Design, evaluate, test & implement innovative, agile & cost-effective network security controls and technologies
- to protect from various network threats, intrustions & vulnerabilities to strengthen security posture and
- to meet regulatory requirements, security policies, best practices and security frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, or CIS etc.
2. Review control effectiveness of existing contros to identify gaps or missing controls & implement controls to mitigate potential security
threats and weaknesses.
3. Understand business needs and provide solution to meet the business requirements
4.Define evaluation/success criteria for evaluating security controls, solutions, and technologies basis understanding, knowledge, white
papers, gaps, requirements, and inputs from stake holders.
5.Identify leading solutions to be evaluated basis requirements and industry inputs.
6.Interact with OEMs / partners to conduct paper-based evaluation including scoring, weightage, & rating and present shortlisted solutions
and Conduct POCs of shortlisted solutions as necessary.
7.Present final evaluation & recommendation to the management and process the procurement with required approvals.
8.Responsible for secure design, architecture, and successful deployment of solution as per expectation and sign-off the project
9.Manage the project and address the issue during implementation and transition to support team with adequate handholding &
documentation.
10.Collaborate with diversed teams to ensure that security measures are integrated into the designs and to implement the security controls &
solutions to mitigate identified gaps..
11.Provide inputs for security policies, procedures, and guidelines, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
12.Provide guidance and support to IT teams and end-users on security-related matters.
13.Publish the relevant dashboards and project status updates.
14.Escalate deviations and violations in a timely manner.
15.Budgeting - CAPEX & OPEX
16.Remain current with latest trends and emerging security technologies, security advisories/threats, industry best-practices and
developments in cyber security to mitigate emerging threats.

Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
1.Should have sound experience in identifying & analyse security gaps; and evaluating, architecting, testing & implementing suitable security
solution/control for an enterprise.
2.Should be able to effectively present the evaluation & recommendation to the management and take necessary approvals.
3.Should have sound understanding & knowledge of various security technologies & techniques like Anti-malware, ATP, APT, Sandboxing,
Secure Proxy, Endpoint Security, PIM, DDoS, DoS, WAF, MDM, DLP, NAC, MFA, NGFW, NGIPS, VPN, use of AI/ML in Cloud Security, SIEM,
SOAR, SOC etc.
4.Solid understanding of encryption technologies, authentication & access control mechanisms, intrusion detection, and incident response
techniques and technologies.
5.Sound knowledge & understanding of security operations and processes.
6.Should have sound knowledge & understanding of IT infrastructure & networking technologies, operations and security principles.
7.Hands-on experience will be preferred
8.Strong understanding of Regulatory security guildelines & master directions and security frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, or CIS.
9. Should be well versed with ITIL and ITSM practices.
