Instructional Responsibilities
- **Lesson Planning**: Develop detailed lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and learning objectives, covering areas such as history, geography, civics, economics, and sociology.
- **Classroom Instruction**: Deliver engaging and effective instruction, using a variety of teaching methods to address different learning styles and abilities.
- **Critical Thinking and Analysis**: Encourage students to think critically about historical events, social issues, and civic responsibilities, fostering skills in analysis, interpretation, and evaluation.
- **Use of Resources**: Utilize diverse resources, including primary and secondary sources, maps, multimedia, and technology, to enhance learning and provide multiple perspectives.

Student Assessment
- **Assessment and Evaluation**: Design and administer tests, quizzes, projects, essays, and other assessment tools to measure students' understanding and progress.
- **Feedback**: Provide timely and constructive feedback on students' work to help them improve their understanding and academic performance.
- **Grading**: Accurately record and report grades in accordance with school policies, maintaining transparency and fairness.

Classroom Management
- **Behavior Management**: Maintain a positive and productive classroom environment, implementing strategies to manage student behavior and foster a respectful learning atmosphere.
- **Classroom Setup**: Create a stimulating and supportive classroom environment that encourages curiosity and active participation.

Curriculum Development
- **Curriculum Alignment**: Collaborate with colleagues to develop and align the social studies curriculum with state and national standards, ensuring it meets educational goals and objectives.
- **Continuous Improvement**: Stay updated with the latest developments in social studies education and incorporate new ideas, resources, and teaching strategies into the curriculum.

Professional Development

Student Support
