**Introduction**:
Driving the design, development and implementation of SAP Accounting solutions across Barclays Risk, Finance & Treasury.

**What will you be doing?**

Delivery of projects and enhancement/maintenance requests for the SAP Finance product set encompassing:

- Undertake E2E delivery activities for SAP projects as a SAP FICO SME covering analysis, design, build and testing.
- Engaging with key business stakeholders, technology teams and architects on business requirements and adopting agile approach to deliveries.
- Support integrated and support teams as and when required. Apprise these teams on new developments within your area.
- Accountability for the implemented solutions and providing direction, advice and guidance on the solution throughout the project.
- Ensure all delivery relevant tools like Engagement Online, Jira, Service-first, Confluence etc are up to date with relevant information.
- Ensure all developments are fully documented, meet high level design requirements, as well as regulatory and industry standards to ensure project delivery is compliant and fit for purpose
- Proactively keep abreast of industry developments, skills and technologies and share information, ideas and best practice with other colleagues to improve skills and knowledge.

**What we’re looking for**:

- Team player with strong functional skills.
- Expert knowledge of core SAP Finance functionality, SAP configuration and design principles.
- Able to explain and translate SAP functionalities from first principles through to in-house custom build to wide range of stakeholders ranging from senior management to product developers.
- Strong analytical and logical skills - the ability to quickly solve problems in a high-pressure environment.
- Highly effective communicator/presenter. Should have excellent written and verbal English language skills.
- In depth knowledge of software development best practices and the software development life cycle.
- Ability to work effectively with IT teams and stakeholders across multiple geographies and cultures

**Skills that will help you in the role**:

- Demonstrable track record of previous work on major SAP implementations - ideally within Financial Services / Banking
- Strong stakeholder management and development skills
- Ability to work on own initiative - self starter

Desirable skills/Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience in country rollouts and deployments would be beneficial
- Knowledge of complex Financial Services environments
- Comprehensive understanding of and experience of working within an Agile methodology framework
- SAP S/4HANA certification or significant implementation experience
- Accounting knowledge / qualification - CA / CIMA / ACCA / ACA preferred
