Azure Data Architect

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Data Pipeline Development**:

- Design, build, and maintain scalable and efficient data pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, and Azure Synapse Analytics.
- Develop ETL/ELT processes to ingest, transform, and load data from various sources into Azure Data Lake and Azure SQL databases.
- **Data Integration**:

- Integrate disparate data sources and ensure seamless data flow across the organization.
- Implement and manage data integration solutions using Azure Logic Apps, Azure Functions, and other Azure services.
- **Data Warehousing & Modeling**:

- Design and implement data warehousing solutions, including star and snowflake schema designs.
- Develop and maintain data models to support business analytics and reporting needs.
- **Optimization & Performance Tuning**:

- Optimize data storage, query performance, and resource utilization in Azure environments.
- Implement best practices for data partitioning, indexing, and caching to ensure high performance.
- **Data Security & Compliance**:

- Ensure data security and compliance with industry standards and regulations, including implementing Azure RBAC, data encryption, and monitoring.
- Implement data governance practices to ensure data quality, integrity, and accuracy.
- **Collaboration & Support**:

- Collaborate with data scientists, BI analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for Azure data platform-related issues.
- **Documentation & Best Practices**:

- Document data architectures, pipelines, and processes to ensure maintainability and knowledge sharing.
- Stay updated on Azure best practices, new features, and industry trends to continuously improve data solutions.

**Qualifications**:

- **Education**:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- **Experience**:

- [Insert required years] of experience in data engineering or related roles, with a focus on Azure data services.
- Proven experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Azure SQL Database.
- Strong experience with ETL/ELT processes and data integration.

- **Technical Skills**:

- Expertise in Azure data services, including Azure Data Lake, Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Azure SQL Database.
- Proficiency in data modeling, data warehousing concepts, and best practices.
- Experience with CI/CD processes and tools like Azure DevOps.
- Familiarity with big data technologies like Spark is a plus.
- Knowledge of data security and compliance best practices on Azure.
- **Soft Skills**:

- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Azure certification (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate) is highly desirable.
- Experience with data visualization tools like Power BI.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
